We show up at this rental expecting a basic stay, nothing fancy just a room as advertised, but instead were greeted by roaches and bugs crawling all over the bed and throughout the room. It was absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. To make matters worse, the listing claimed the property had air conditioning, it did not.Communication with the host was unhelpful, and no real solution was offered. We ended up leaving before sleeping there because it was so bad. Save yourself the nightmare, do not book this place. Vrbo should seriously reconsider allowing this listing on their site. Such a scam, stay away. I arrived later in the night and had messaged about that. When I arrived I realized that I did not receive a check in code, there was a sign saying no problem call this number for help. I called and was immediately disconnected, I tried the other numbers and no answer. In short I still can't seem to get a hold of anyone from this hotel even after two days of calling. I can't leave a message either. There is no response to my texts on vrbo. I had to drive another 40 minutes with little kids for a place to stay.

Do not book here!!

We got to the property and no one was there to check us in. Called and messaged the host with no answer. There is a restaurant attached to the property where we found someone to talk to. I was then told by a “property manager” that all the rooms were booked. Note, I had a reservation number, had received multiple emails confirming my stay. So I Asked the manger to call the host for me…he picked up. They had my reservation but ultimately had double booked the room. He hung up on me. No apology or anything. Another lady came up to me and blamed it on VRBO saying the connection between the property and VRBO was “bad” and there was nothing they could do since the hotel was booked. I was told I needed to contact VRBO for a refund. Very frustrated. I was left with no where to stay. With 3 young children. The whole city was booked. Bear lake is a popular destination in the summer. We were staying for a family reunion and the closest available hotel was an hour away. We ended up driving the 2.5 hours back home. Never had an experience like this. Horrible communication and management of property. Also, While I was looking for other properties to stay at, this one came up as available for that night. What a joke. I want all my money back!!

I like that it had the right amount of beds and a working microwave and fridge. I didn’t like that there was no WiFi and the check in process was very confusing and the man who checked us in acted very weird and was not helpful.

ABSOLUTE DISGUSTING!

I HAVE A VIDEO OF HOW HORRIBLE IT WAS! I WOULDN'T PUT MY WORSE ENEMY IN IT! I DROVE 19 1/2 HOURS STRAIGHT AND ARRIVED TO THEM NOT EVEN KNOWING ABOUT IT! IT WAS DISGUSTING!! MY FAMILY WAS UPSET WHEN THEY REVIEWED THE VIDEO. ONE FAMILY MEMBER TOLD HER BOSS, WHO IS A PARK RANGER, AND HE WAS VERY UPSET ABOUT THE WHOLE ORDEAL.
