“It is a magnificent property with great facilities. Well located enough. But Plattenberg is a plain soulless residential seaside town. No quality in terms of restaurants. The property is closed to shops, cafés and beach (if you don’t mind the very steep hike back). ”

“The most beautiful room we have ever had with stunning sea views and a great roof terrace that gets very busy. The only disappointment we had was the pool which is very small and in a public area without guest lounging space so we felt uncomfortable to use it. The breakfast was fantastic and great value as it was included and the breakfast restaurant area is beautiful, again with lovely views however service was very slow. ”

“Struttura carina, belli i comodini e le lampade fatte con materiali di recupero, il bagno non aveva una porta che lo separasse dalla camera. Il wifi all'interno della camera non funzionava ed era necessario uscire fuori per avere la connessione. La posizione è molto comoda per il Parco Nazionale di Tsitsikamma che si raggiunge in 15 minuti in auto. Consigliato anche il pub/ristorante della struttura sia per il menù che per la comodità di una cena senza doversi spostare in auto.”

“Self catering room in cottage pie needs a renovation . The windows lead onto the street,so this would make it a security issue if one would like to sit outside. The bedroom is dark and gloomy the bathroom had a broken light. The overall facilities and the staff were very good ”

“Kleines feines Hotel in erhöhter Lage auf dem Felsen in der Mitte zwischen den beiden Hauptstränden. Das Hotel ist hübsch, hat insgesamt nur 37 Zimmer auf 2 Gebäude (plus 2 kleinen Cottages) verteilt. Die Einrichtung ist relativ schlicht und mutet mit seinen vielen Blautönen schon fast nordisch an. Eleganz mit Understatement. Dazu ein nettes, ebenfalls schlicht gehaltenes Restaurant mit Aussenterrasse am Pool, gutes Dinner, fantastisches Frühstück. Minus: Die Zimmertür bot weder Licht- noch...
