Unfortunately, I picked this hotel because of the spa/ hot tub and both were out of service at the time of our visit.
The hair dryer wouldn’t work & neither did the coffee pot, but since it was probably cleaner to heat hot water in micro, it wasn’t much of a problem and wet hair wasn’t an issue for me.
The hotel sits “up” from the main road that runs through town and instead of leveling the foundation around the bldg, they put all of the walks in front at weird different slants which makes it VERY difficult to walk up if you have any balance or walking problems. When I causally asked about it the man working the desk scoffed at me and mentioned he’d worked there over 3 yrs and they’ve never had a problem. I didn’t mention that I had however, hurt myself & threw out my hip walking down to my car, since I’m just kinda a klutz at 63!
The bldg itself is over 100 yrs old & I must say, they’ve done a lovely job decorating & cleaning inside - no smells!
Not the best place to stay if you have kids since you do need to drive to get to beach, and this time of year, spring break, they roll up the sidewalks by 7pm which makes getting dinner a bit iffy at times
