Big Bear by the brook

Escape to the Great Smoky Mountains and stay in our beautiful, centrally located cabin! Situated between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, our two bedroom, two bathroom cabin comfortably sleeps six guests and is the perfect home base for your next mountain getaway.

Enjoy the peaceful sounds of the nearby creek as you relax on the large private upper deck or the wrap around bottom deck with a grill and hot tub. Inside, the cabin features a separate gaming area for the kids to play, ensuring everyone has a great time.

Unfortunately, there were fleas and dog hair in the den and on us as soon as we sat down in the first 30 minutes of arrival. Sent pics, and notified the manager. They said could not get anyone to treat the unit because it was the weekend. We were going to be there 30 hours total so I told her that instead of spending my entire time trying to find a new unit/hotel, I would purchase treatment and do it myself, which I did. Spiders and crickets were in the unit, old trash in the trash can outside. The unit felt unkept as if it had sat for several weeks with no attention to cleanliness.

The cabin was beautiful, well maintained, and clean. We did need to wash the dishware before use as those didn't appear very clean. The pool that was advertised with the listing was not as close as we thought it would be (had to drive up the road/mountain to get to it) and because of this we didnt utilize the pool.There was one night where we had a decent amount of rain and what my family and I think occurred is the overflow of the septic and the area smelled terrible. It only lasted that one day.

Amazing location

Perfect spot for getting into town quickly or getting on the bypass to the park. Small note, but driveway / parking area is tight, so extra large or multiple vehicles may be difficult.

We enjoyed this cabin. The brook next to had relaxing melodies, the kids and dog enjoyed it also. The pictures of the area around the cabin on the listing needed to be updated on the listing as the vegetation has grown around it.

Great place, great location

We came up to the Smokies with my family recently and enjoyed our stay here. My kids really loved the arcade system upstairs (OK, I did too). The place was in a good location, close to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Overall, we had a great time!

Cabin is extremely clean. Decorated very nicely.Good hot tub. Host readily accessible. Cabin number very difficult to see at roadway. We made our own marker which made things easier. Good location..trolley stop at bottom of the hill.

Favorite cabin!

Third time staying in this particular cabin. First time with Amanda as our host. We love the location between Gatlinburg and PF. The cabin itself is clean and has everything you need. My 10 yr old loves the hot tub and arcade game. Amanda responded quickly when we had a question. Would 100% stay a fourth time in this cabin!!!!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin.Our highlight was that momma bear with her two cubs walked down the driveway and inspected our car and then crossed the water, since there was no food found.We'll keep it in mind for a next trip!

Hot tub

The hot tub does not work, one of the main reasons we chose this property. Chair broken. Dirty dishes in cupboard and dirty silverware in drawer.

Great location

The property is located in a good place. We were about 7 minutes from downtown and right behind the welcome center. The cabin was nice. It could have been a little cleaner and we found a few things that were broken (kitchen chair, jacuzzi filter, arcade machine). Our son was sad the arcade machine did not seem to work. We could not figure out how to work the fireplace in the living room either. The pots and pans could also be replaced as most are warped and have a lot of burnt material on it that make it hard to cook. The layout was a little awkward as you have to walk through the main bathroom to get to the master. So if someone is using the bathroom, you can't get to the bedroom. The placement of the living room TV made it a little uncomfortable to watch the TV while relaxing in the evenings. Overall though, the stay was relaxing and it was nice having 2 king size beds. We loved the location of the cabin and the fact that it wasn't on one of the more difficult roads to drive at night.
