THE INDOOR POOL AND SPAS ARE OPEN!! This Condo at The Summit of Gatlinburg is located 3.5 miles from downtown Gatlinburg and 1.5 miles from Ober Mountain Ski Resort. This unit is in building #6 1st floor.. only 3 steps from parking lot to building. This condo offers a breathtaking view, 2 bedrooms each with 1 queen the master bedroom has its own bath tub and shower combo, the 2nd bath has stall shower. There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room which is great for the kids. There is a TV in living room and master bedroom, Kitchen is small but fully equipped, and has a wood burning fireplace. THIS CONDO DOES NOT ALLOW PETS!!If you bring a pet you will be asked to leave with no refund. Smoking is not allowed in the unit. Please smoke outside. If you smoke inside, you will be charged a $200 fee. Winter Weather Warning: The elevation at The Summit is above the lodge at nearby Ober Mountain Ski Resort. In case of inclement weather, 4 wheel drive and/or chains are advised. We recommend checking the weather and webcam at Ober Mountain Ski Resort to determine the weather conditions here. The City of Gatlinburg does an excellent job of keeping the roads open in winter, but in case of heavy snowfall, it may take a day or more to make the roads safe for travel. When staying here in the winter, it is advised that you bring extra supplies just in case.

The best thing about this place is the location if you’re thinking about going to Ober and doing some skiing it is a five minute drive and no traffic. Gatlinburg is about a 10 minute drive down the mountain and very easily accessible to parking. This is definitely a dated place to stay. They can definitely use new mattresses. They are stained and the springs are poking through. I knew the place was outdated based on other reviews and I was fine with it. The view is absolutely gorgeous. The kitchen is tiny, but has everything you need.

Too far away and noisey neighbors

Please keep in mind i have traveled to this area of Tennessee many times. Place has excellent views but at the same time it is too far away from stores/attractions. Unit desperately needs updates. Gently went to open the shower curtain and the curtain and rod immediately fell. Places on walls needs some compound and paint. Should update the door lock to a smart lock with keypad. Fumbling with the tumbler lock box to retrieve the key is a pain. Tvs need to be updated to smart tvs in order to have Netflix or cast apps from your phone. Kitchen sink has a water filter but no water pressure when using the filter unless you bypassed the filter.You could hear whomever above the unit banging on the ceiling/floor all throughout the night. Probably their kids and probably not the unit owner's fault but still bad.
