Welcome! Smoky Bear Lodge is located just 5 minutes outside of both downtown Gatlinburg and the main entrance to the Smoky Mountains National Park in Gatlinburg's premier log cabin community, Black Bear Falls. The resort gives guests seasonal access to two heated outdoor pools and stunning mountain views, while the cabin affords you your own private hot tub, a game room, and all the amenities you desire. Should you prefer a more nature-focused experience, you're in luck! Smoky Bear Lodge is located just minutes from the main entrance to the Smoky Mountain National Park.


This beautiful log cabin welcomes you with vaulted ceilings, warm wood finishes, two spacious decks, and floor-to-ceiling glass pane windows. Smoky Bear Lodge boasts a thoughtful personal touch around every corner and features flat panel TV's in every room, light fixtures, game room flooring, bedding sets and so much more!

It’s also just a short drive to many other area attractions such as the famous Arts and Crafts community featuring numerous local artisans, the Rocky Top Sports Complex, Gatlinburg Community Center, Greenbriar Park entrance and more!

Enjoy a great game of pool with friends on the full-size pool table or grab some gaming action on the Playstation console or on the multi-arcade gaming station offering 60 classic arcade games! Cozy up to watch the latest movies on the 50 inch HDTV with premier cable channels in front of the glow of the gas fireplace.

Soak in the hot tub or simply rock in one of the deck rocking chairs while you enjoy the beautiful surrounding sounds and wooded views.

Plenty of space for our family. Great location to escape to after visiting activities downtown. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. We had some bears visit which was great for all to see. Our host communicated very well, which was refreshing. We will be back!!!

It’s one I want to never relive the visit from the bears were nothing to play with and they didn’t want to leave our cabin , so the Tennessee wildlife and game had to be called in to assist in our departure.

The property was clean and in a great location . My primary complaints revolve around the driveway and some of the furniture. The driveway is extremely challenging and potentially dangerous to navigate, especially when backing out. It’s positioned an incline, requiring someone to spot you to ensure no oncoming traffic is present before you can safely exit - a process that felt quite precarious. Additionally, the kitchen chairs cushion were dirty, and the couch, loveseat,and armchair in the living room are in need of replacement. Despite these issues, my overall stay was great.

Family vacay

Overall great experience. The amenities were a little lacking like towels, tissue but host very quick to resolve. Hot tub great. Kitchen lighting a little dark for cooking. Would recommend. Very close to everything.

Beautiful cabin

The instructions and communication prior to arrival were complete and clear. The property was clean, stocked with basic necessities and the location is better than what is in the listing description. Scott was very quick to respond to messages and help when needed. Would definitely stay again.

Great location

Location was great and convenient to the main downtown area. Only complaint I have is the coffee maker did not brew at all. It would’ve been nice have a simple Keurig Coffee maker.

We had a lovely stay. Everything was clean and ready for our stay. We had everything we needed. We were 5 minites from attractions and had no issues getting anywhere. Also, when one of is left a phone after checking out. We were able to communicate to the owner to get back in and retrieve it with no issue. I would definitely return.

Awesome Host

I recommend this property. Very clean/easy check-in/responsive Host. Would recommend better cooking amenities but we made it work. Driveway is not as bad as other reviews say. Also very quiet area, perfect for relaxing.

Not what was expected

Intense smell of bleach when we first walked in. Took several hours to air out. Furniture is old and worn. Sofa and chair fabric is not clean. Decor is bare. If you are looking for cabin decorated in the mountain theme, this is not it. Good location. Easy to get to Gatlinburg parkway.

Family get together

The house accommodated four adult couples nicely. We think that when renting you should be aware that it's a very windy road to get to the house and the driveway is steep and cured. We chose to be in the house before dark for that reason.
