Inizia il tuo viaggio camminando sul ponte inferiore e godendo di una splendida vista sulle montagne e sul Monte. Le Conte nel Parco Nazionale delle Grandi Montagne Fumose. Puoi salutare la gente sul tram silenzioso mentre passa. In primavera, autunno, inverno o dopo una pioggia, puoi ascoltare Holy Branch Creek che serpeggia tra le montagne. Se sei fortunato, potresti essere in grado di guardare (al sicuro dal mazzo) un orso mamma e i suoi cuccioli che vagano nei cortili.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Papa Bear’s Den! The cabin itself was beautiful, spotless, and incredibly cozy, with a breathtaking view that we never got tired of. One of the highlights of our trip was seeing so many bears—it made the experience truly unforgettable. We absolutely loved the game room loft and the hot tub as well! The hostess was wonderful to work with—very easy to contact, responsive, and extremely helpful throughout our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a magical Gatlinburg getaway.

Beautiful property, very well maintained. Very convenient to downtown Gatlinburg and Ober Mountain. Great communication with owner and easy check in-check out procedure.There was no chalk for the pool table, I let the owner know and he had some overnighted to us. Great customer service!We traveled with our dogs and there is a small backyard to take our pets out everyday. A lot of cabins have no yards at all.We would definitely stay at this cabin again!

We had a little issue with the house not being cleaned before we arrived due to a technical error, but Kate was quick to let us know as soon as she found out. She was so responsive and kept in touch making sure we were updated several times. Communication is huge and she knocked it out of the park. Because the house hadn’t been cleaned she was quick to give us a discount and apologized over and over. No chance you can be upset with someone like that, things happen. We had plans to hike most of the three days, but it rained almost the entire time. Luckily the house had so many things to keep us busy, between all the games upstairs, the pool table, the hot tub, and the jukebox, we didn’t get bored. The driveway is a little tricky, but it was well explained and the extra parking across the street allowed us to have plenty of room for vehicles. We got used to the driveway the first day. There were even a couple fans in the closets. We definitely plan to be back, it’s a great cabin for families! Thanks Kate!

The property is absolutely gorgeous! The view was so amazing and the amenities were over the top. We did see a few bears so make sure you lock your car and keep all food and trash secure. We will be back again for sure!

We had a lovely long family weekend here! We enjoyed the hot tub, pool table and even got a visit from the bears! Kate was wonderful to communicate with—adding an extra day was easy and she was so flexible with us arriving slightly earlier than our check-in time. The view of the mountains at sunrise and sunset from the deck was spectacular. In case this helps anyone else, we found that with the drive up the mountains, taking the slightly longer route that has you driving through downtown Gatlinburg was much easier to get to the cabin than the way from Pigeon Forge.Would stay here again!

Great cabin! Very clean and professional-looking upon arrival, easy check-in process. Tons of amenities! We really loved hanging out and enjoying the view from the amazing deck. The game room is super cool, playing pool and listening to the little jukebox was fun! Fully stocked kitchen and bathroom, even did a load of laundry! No complaints! For future guests, there is frequent bear activity so be sure to heed the provided notes from the owners! And the driveway is pretty sharp and steep, but there is parking off the road if you have a low profile or large vehicle! Will definitely be back!!

Great place for a family vacation

Stayed with my wife, 3 teenager daughters, sister and parents. Location was great, everyone enjoyed the place. Would definitely stay here again for future trips. Highly recommended for a family trip.

Perfect mountain getaway!

The pictures don’t do this beautiful cabin justice. It’s is spacious yet warm and cozy. The views were phenomenal, even in the off season. Everything was extremely clean and the kitchen was well stocked. My kids loved the game room upstairs. We also enjoyed the large selection of board games. It is close to the park and all of the downtown attractions. Driving up the mountain was intimidating but I found it manageable especially if I drove through town and skipped the more challenging bypass route. The parking tips provided were also very helpful and appreciated.

Cozy and spacious

Very spacious and clean! As described the driveway can be challenging but overall we had a great stay! The storm knocked out power but the house generator didn’t skip a beat, it kept going consistently until the power was restored. We only knew the generator was on because we heard it kick on. Very happy this backup was in place.

Beautiful cabin

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was pristine clean and looked exactly like the pictures. The view from the deck was incredible. Our kids had fun waving at the Ober tram. Game room was a blast. The host was very responsive. We want to be back in the fall for the foliage!

Gambill & Shepherd Family Vacation

We seen Momma Bear & her baby everyday we was there . 3 night 4 days .Always love being able to see the bears . Loved the cabin & loved the view . Thanks for sharing your beautiful mountain home with our family . Only thing that got to us was the stairs a lot of stairs lol . But we made it up and down okay . We would come back to Papa Bears Den again . Of course we signed the guess book too . Love reading people’s letters they left in guess book . Oh Yeah Make Sure All Car Doors are Locked at All Times . And don’t leave anything out cause bears will try and get in it . Just like we had an empty cooler in back of our truck so Momma Bear decided she wanted to climb in the back of our truck and smack the cooler around and chewed on it lmao . Thanks from Gambill & Shepherd Family for a wonderful spot for a Family Vacation
