“We were on a bit of a road trip in France and had decided to spend a couple of days in Normandy after coming off the ferry. Easy to find and well located for the WW2 historical sites in the area. The hotel is lovely and the hosts could not be more accommodating (e.g. we got an early checkin). The breakfasts were excellent and we had an evening meal there as well - again excellent. The room was clean and had a nice bathroom with a separate toilet.”

J’avais pourtant demandé une chambre supérieure, mais on m’a attribué une chambre en rez-de-chaussée qui ressemblait à une catégorie économique oubliée des années 70 : odeur d’humidité persistante, salle de bain minuscule et dans son jus, serviettes d’entrée de gamme. Pas d’acceuil. Pour un établissement noté au-dessus de 9/10, je m’attendais à tout autre chose. Il y a manifestement un décalage entre la réputation en ligne et la réalité sur place.”

Ideale per esplorare la penisola del Cotentin: Coutances, Chateau de Gratot, Abbazia di Lessay, Cap de Carteret, dune costiere, Nez de Jobourg, Cap de la Hague, Barfleur e faro di Gatteville, Saint-Vaast e il forte Vauban, Sainte Mère Eglise. “St. Vaag è un delizioso paesino di pescatori. L'hotel è gradevole, ma ha alcuni difetti, di cui il peggiore è il prezzo. Ma anche il parcheggio è inaccessibile”
