“Una Finestra sul Mare” — A Window on the Sea is a recently renovated apartment in the historic fishing harbor of Nervi, one of the most beautiful seaside areas of Genoa.
The apartment is part of the historic group of houses surrounding the old harbor, where the atmosphere of a traditional Ligurian fishing village is still alive.
Here, the sea is not simply a view: it is part of everyday life.
Open the windows of the living room and the Mediterranean is directly in front of you. Step outside and, within a few meters, you are on the famous Anita Garibaldi seaside promenade.
At the same time, the center of Genoa is only about 12 minutes away by train.

THE APARTMENT

The apartment was completely renovated in November 2024 to provide guests with a comfortable and welcoming home.
It is located on the first floor of a traditional building in the old harbor, just 12 steps above street level.
It offers:

The living room is the heart of the apartment. Whether you are having breakfast, reading a book or enjoying an evening glass of wine, the Mediterranean is always in front of you.

NERVI — A HISTORIC VILLAGE BY THE SEA

Nervi is officially part of Genoa, but it retains the character of a small Mediterranean village.
Its history goes back centuries, with evidence of its Roman past still visible near the harbor, including the historic Roman Bridge.
Today, you can experience the simple pleasures of village life: walk to a bakery for fresh focaccia, have lunch overlooking the water, enjoy an aperitivo and dine in one of the restaurants around the harbor.
Several restaurants, cafés, a pizzeria and seafood restaurants are located just a few steps from the apartment.
And don’t miss Genovese focaccia, one of Liguria’s most famous specialties, or Pesto Genovese, which was born here.

THE ANITA GARIBALDI PROMENADE

Starting just a few meters from the apartment, the Anita Garibaldi Promenade follows the coastline for approximately 2 kilometers.
The walkway runs along the cliffs above the Mediterranean and is one of the most beautiful places in Genoa for walking, jogging, photography or simply enjoying the sea.
In summer, small bathing establishments and places to stop for a drink or a meal can be found along the promenade.
At sunset, the view is particularly spectacular.

GENOA — A CITY UNLIKE ANY OTHER

One of the greatest advantages of staying in Nervi is the possibility of visiting Genoa while returning every evening to your seaside home.
Genoa has one of Europe’s largest and best-preserved historic centers, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
Walking through the narrow medieval caruggi is like stepping into another era. The extraordinary network of streets, alleys, squares and historic buildings preserves the character of medieval Genoa, when the city was one of the great maritime powers of Europe.
Genoa is also famous for the extraordinary Palazzi dei Rolli, magnificent residences built mainly during the 16th and 17th centuries for the city’s most powerful aristocratic families.
During the famous Rolli Days, many of these historic palaces open their doors to visitors.
The result is a city where medieval streets, maritime history, Renaissance and Baroque architecture, magnificent palaces and Mediterranean culture come together in a way that is truly unique.
And all of this is just a short train ride from Nervi.

THE PARKS OF NERVI

About five minutes’ walk from the apartment are the Parks of Nervi, a magnificent historic park complex covering approximately 100,000 square meters.
Palms, centuries-old trees, gardens and Mediterranean vegetation create a large green oasis overlooking the sea.
The parks also contain important museums, including the Wolfsoniana and the Gallery of Modern Art.
They are particularly beautiful in spring, but thanks to Nervi’s mild climate they can be enjoyed throughout the year.

NERVI IN EVERY SEASON

Nervi is not only a summer destination.
Its sheltered position between the sea and the mountains gives the area a particularly mild climate. Autumn, winter and spring are ideal for travelers who want to experience the Italian Riviera away from the busiest summer months.
Sunny days, the sea, the promenade, the parks and outdoor cafés remain part of everyday life even during the cooler months.
Winter temperatures are generally around 50–64°F (10–18°C).
For many visitors, discovering Nervi outside the traditional summer season is one of the pleasant surprises of their trip.

EXPLORE THE ITALIAN RIVIERA

Nervi is an excellent starting point for discovering the Ligurian coast.
Depending on the season, boat excursions can take you to some of the most beautiful destinations of the Italian Riviera:
Camogli · San Fruttuoso · Portofino
Whale-watching excursions may also be available during certain periods, with opportunities to see dolphins, whales and sperm whales in the Ligurian Sea.
For a more independent adventure, kayaks and SUPs can be rented just a few meters from the apartment to explore the coastline and nearby coves.

Nervi offers many activities within walking distance.
Kayaking & SUP — Local sports associations offer rentals, lessons and guided excursions along the coast.
Scuba Diving — A diving center is located approximately 30 meters from the apartment, with equipment facilities, showers and direct access to the nearby pier. Courses are available from beginner to advanced and instructor levels.
Swimming & Water Fitness — The historic Piscina Gropallo is approximately seven minutes on foot and offers swimming and water-fitness activities.
