Couldn’t be better
What a beautiful home. Breathtaking views, we could’ve easily spent the whole time there just sitting outside watching the weather change, and the TONS of stars you can see at night are something else, too! The beds are very comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you may need. Antigonish is only a 20-30 minute drive away for groceries and a range of places to eat and drink. It’s also nicely located close to many great hiking trails, and a good spot for day trips into Cape Breton. Last, but definitely not least, the hot tub with views of the ocean…I can get used to that!

Fantastic week of family bonding by the ocean
Wonderful house, immaculately maintained, preaceful, beautifully located right on the ocean. Access to the water, deck overlooking the ocean with a view on the sunset. Even a spa.

A most enjoyable vacation
Our first impression was breathtaking! The view from the deck was unbelievable. We were so content to just sit, having coffee and conversation in the morning and later watching the sunset. The house was clean with plenty of amenities. The kitchen was fully stocked. We couldn’t have picked a more inviting space for our family!

Beautiful and eventful stay.
We rented this cottage for a week for some much anticipated rest and relaxation. The property is beautiful, so comfortable and tastefully appointed, with a magnificent view of the Northumberland Straight. It is also close to the very pretty town of Antigonish, and to many beaches, both sand and rocky as well as having it’s own rocky beach to explore. It is a little secluded, which is exactly what we were looking for. And what a great kitchen! However, Hurricane Fiona came along and we were in the area most affected. This is really where we found out how great the hosts were and how well prepared they were for any eventuality. Russell came over and put everything outside away, and spent a lot of time with us to answer all our questions. We had the option of leaving, but decided to stay. The house is very sturdily built to withstand such events. Of course the power went off, but the generator kicked in right away. The night of the hurricane was pretty harrowing but the next morning, even though the winds were still quite strong and the roads littered with fallen trees, Russell was back to see how we were and to make sure everything was working properly. The generator kept us going the rest of our stay, and limited internet connection throughout the province for the rest of the week forced us to unplug. There were a lot of books and games in the house and we were very comfortable. Luckily we had stocked up on food. Jacqui and Russell remained available throughout and responded to texts very quickly. It is not the holiday we were hoping for but it turned out to be great nonetheless. Thanks Jacqui and Russell!

Perfect getaway
This property was a piece of heaven. Very quiet, unbelievable sunsets, every amenity provided. Highly recommend this if you are looking for peace and quiet and a respite. The owners took care to ensure that you have all you need. There is a large kitchen with pots, pans, beautiful dishes and flatware. A propane stove/oven that was a pleasure to cook on. The bathroom includes towels, shampoo and soap. There is a hot tub and 2 kayaks. The owners were very pleasant and easy to contact. The town is approximately 20 minutes away if you should need anything and includes a large grocery store. We took many beautiful photos as the view from the house is stunning. Just know that the road to the house and the driveway are gravel and rather steep. This was a bit of challenge for us city folk and our rental car. But this did not prevent us from having a wonderful vacation. If you thinking of visiting nova scotia this is the perfect home .

2nd time staying at this property
The property is first class and is well maintained and clean. Jacqui makes it very easy to check in and follows up to make sure everything is going as expected. She also let us know that lobster season had just opened and told us where we could buy them right from the fisherman as well as providing us the tools to cook them…family said it was the best lobster they had ever had.

Great girls weekend!
From start to finish, this was a wonderful weekend away! The house was absolutely beautiful and in particular we really enjoyed the kitchen...everything we needed for meal prep was at our fingertips! The weather during our time away wasn’t great, but the home was so amazing we hardly noticed!!

A wonderful girls trip!
My family of four generations stayed here for a week to celebrate our second annual girls trip! The cottage was absolutely beautiful, clean and came with everything you could ever need. We had a great time kayaking in the ocean, relaxing in the hot tub and enjoying the stunning sunsets on the deck. The hosts were so accommodating and added many special touches that we enjoyed! We hope to be back!

Summer getaway
We had a fantastic stay at Jacqui and Russell's home. Plenty of outdoor activities locally, golf, hiking, kayaking in the day then back for a BBQ on the beautiful back deck and soaking out the day in the hot tub before a campfire. Immaculately clean, everything is there for a great stay. I'd love to tell everyone to book now, but don't want it to be booked when we want to go back!

My husband and I celebrated our 27th Wedding Anniversary at Jacqui and Russell’s beautiful vacation home October 1-4, 2020. We consider ourselves somewhat seasoned travellers having visited a few beautiful places in this world, for example: Dubai, Santorini, Istanbul, the Amalfi Coast, Bermuda, St. John’s, Newfoundland, Banff, Alberta and the Cabot Trail to name a few. Regardless of where we are in this beautiful world, where we lay our heads every evening must have two very important components: 1. The place must be at least as clean as our own home (we’re far from perfect) 2. The place must meet the criteria as advertised (we work hard for our money and are “buying” what the vacation homeowner is “selling”) Without a doubt this house is exceptional. It is beautiful. It is private. It is extremely, extremely clean. It is well cared for. It has a beautiful view. It has an incredibly stocked kitchen. It has a hot tub overlooking the Northumberland Strait. It is more than advertised. The hosts are very thoughtful with their welcoming touches and bring their vacation home to another level. Without a doubt you will be more than happy choosing this home for your next get-away. :)

An amazing family and friends getaway !!! Luxury and Comfort !!!
This was a first time for us that a house over exceeded our expectations but this one just did it. It was more then PERFECT, filled with all the little extras and high end luxury to help us feel settled the entire time! A kitchen to die for ! The amazing view, private property, beach and hot tub made for the ultimate relaxing vacation! The house and deck were baby and kids friendly, with a lot of toys and kids entertainments . We just felt right at home and can’t wait to be back 💗

Amazing getaway
Our family enjoyed our stay very much. The teenagers loved kayaking and the hot tub. Evenings watching the spectacular sunsets from the deck were breath taking. Relaxing by the sea
Absolutely a beautiful home, exactly as advertised. Very clean and well-equipped. Hot tub is a bonus to relax in and watch the sunset. It has an amazing ocean view and beach. Kids enjoyed collecting rocks on the beach and kayaking. Hosts were quick to respond with any questions. Thank you for a wonderful stay, highly recommend.

Awesome view
Very nice property with awesome view on the ocean and nice sunset (that you can look at from the spa!!!). The owners were very responsive when we had questions and the Kitchen is fully equiped (like they even have an Hot-Diggy-Dogger) And at 4:00pm a beautifull deer was visiting the place.

Gorgeous house & incredible views
This house was in a great location for day trips, especially to Cape Breton. The house was spotless, beds were so comfortable (very important), the hot tub was a very nice bonus. The views, especially from the large deck, were incredible. The rocky beach was a source of interesting discoveries... tiny lobster claws, beautiful rocks of all sizes. We had a wonderful east coast vacation with our sons, 15 & 12. Thanks so much to Jacqui & Russell for sharing this beautiful property with our family!

It was a pleasure to host Aimee and family for their summer vacation. They were excellent guests and we are very happy they had the opportunity to take advantage of the outdoor living with patios and hot tub to truly enjoy the natural surroundings of the area. Early July 2019 vacation
We had a great stay at this Malignant Cove location. The residence was clean and spacious for the seven of us ( 4 adults and three young children). Owners were very responsive to our questions before and during our stay. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub. We all agreed we had a great stay here.

Eine wirklich tolle Unterkunft, die alles genau so hält wie es beschriebn ist. Wir haben uns super erholt und konnten von der Terrasse aus Wale und Seeadler beobachten. Alles super sauber und in der Küche gibt es alles was man braucht. Wir können es nur empfehlen!!! Auch der Kontakt mit Jacqui und Russel war sehr nett und unkompliziert und sie sind uns jederzeit für Fragen zur Verfügung gestanden.,. Thomas, Tanja, Andreas, Claudia, Olga und Lisa. 🇩🇪
