“We had a nice stay overall. The place was clean and spacious but on arrival the door code did not work. This caused some initial anxiety obviously. It was handled fairly quickly. I had asked a property host before we booked if there was AC and was told yes.. 3 nights into the stay we discovered this was not true. It got very uncomfortable for sleeping. My husband has allergies that ceiling fans blowing dust etc irritate.Not sure if it was outright misleading or a mistake but got a half hearted...

“This location was perfect for our weekend trip to New River Gorge. The house had everything we needed and we loved the big screened in porch and river view. Definitely recommend going less than 10 mins up the road to the Sandstone Falls Boardwalk.”

“The cadin was what I expected. True to the pictures. It was very clean. I chose this place to get closer to God and that was what i got. My only suggestion to the property's owners is that the screening around the porch be fixed. It let in some yellow jackets and a couple got in the house. Would not be good if somebody staying there got stung and was allergic to them. Overall, I would go back.”

“The cabin was exactly as pictured and very clean! The nature surrounding was so relaxing and beautiful and we get to feed a deer in the front yard with the corn they left, so cool!”

“It was exactly as advertised, the best cabin !! , the whole family was very happy about it all . Plus being in the woods and only minutes from town to restaurants. Soak in the hot tub after a long day rafting on rapids - oh yeah . So peaceful and enjoyable . Perfectly cleaned and great staff - Thank you and yes we will return again in our near future”

“So close to the mountain, which is exactly what we needed for our family snowboard trip. The pictures don’t do the place justice. It was spacious and comfortable. Only downside, closest grocery stores are 20ish minutes away so we survived on Dollar General and it worked out perfectly! Highly recommend you stay and experience all that Winterplace has to offer.”
