“Stayed in the motel queen room for one night… that’s the good part. Gena’s is good for one night given the location and the restaurant that serves excellent food. You need to be patient and quite sporty regarding the room. Everything is quite old and we found a wad of hair in the sheets, the bathroom is tiny and the toilet felt unstable when sitting on it. We asked for a hair dryer and the staff simply replied “no”. It’s an experience for one night, I don’t recommend for longer stays.”

“We enjoyed the main cook Tod personality. He made our stay memorable. I have a medicine that needs to be refrigerated and I had to ask for ice instead of an ice maker that I can get to right away. Refrigerator would have been better in the room. Breakfast starts at 8am which is too late to start enjoying Sequoia National Park. Dinner ends at 7pm and 6:30pm on Sunday which is early when you’re still outdoors exploring the park.”

“Personale gentile, hotel carino all'interno del Kings Canyon. Al check in ti propongono di rinunciare al rifacimento giornaliero della camera (in termini di sostituzione giornaliera di lenzuola e asciungamani) a fini ambientali. Al termine della vacanza mi hanno dato per questo un portachiavi in omaggio. Il Wifi purtroppo funziona poco e solo nell'ingresso dell'hotel, nonostante tra i servizi ci sia scritto WiFi in camera. ”

“Beautiful view of the lake. Daily walks during spring season was perfect. Flowers bursting everywhere Very quiet and remote. Extremely spacious. Perfect for multi-families. Internet works great only inside cabin. Joseph was very friendly and very helpful for any questions or concerns. Loved the woodstove fireplace. It was fun to use and kept us warm. ”

“Property has an amazing view! It is also easy to “check-in,” very clean and well-maintained. Two important things to note. First, despite what the listing states, there is no AC. There is some sort of system that cools the air a bit, but does nothing about humidity. We stayed during a heat dome event and it was uncomfortable. The second item to note is that this is a remote location high up in elevation. The road up is constant switchbacks and my wife got car sick (I cannot think of another time...

“The house and yard are very cute and the location is great. The layout is interesting (go through one bedroom to get to another) but it’s an old house and was still charming. The house was clean and comfortable. Would be a great place in the warner season where you could really enjoy the outside spaces. That said, it was the poorest stocked house we’ve rented. No washcloths, no hand towels in the bathrooms, no hand soap (just a couple motel style shampoo bottles), no oven mitts to get hot things...

“This turned out to be very nice. We didn’t not realize the bathroom was a pit toilet and there is no electric on the property. All this being said we really did like it. We slept well, the outdoor shower was awesome. Spent a lot less time on getting ready. A plus when you are going hiking anyway. The pit toilet is a pit toilet. All in all we enjoyed our stay.”
