The apartment is in an excellent location, everything is on the doorstep. Even though we were city centre the apartment seemed to block out most of the noise at the night. The beds were very comfortable and the linen was clean. The layout was good and having two bathrooms was brilliant. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. Check in and checkout was easy. The view from the balcony was gorgeous! Issues: The “all year round lap pool” was too cold. It was absolutely freezing to the point we found it to be unusable which was really disappointing, however this obviously wasn’t the owners fault, it’s down to building maintenance. My other issue was down to communication, gibstay were quite delayed in responding to messages. They blamed the alerts not coming through from Vrbo but I had emailed them to their direct desk and they didn’t reply. This resulted in us not having bedding for the sofa bed, a necessity of the stay and we actually had to go out and source our own bedding. Even though they had prior notice of us needing bedding well in advance of arrival, I asked for some upon ending the property when I realised they hadn’t left any via Vrbo and the email address and I was ignored. It was a real shame.

Apartment was lovely, excellent location, a short walk to most places. It should have been perfect but for poor cleanliness. Hairs on bedding left for bed sofa, a large yellow stain on the sheet in main bedroom. Despite initial phone call (to report hairs and ask for clean bedding) we could not contact host by any means. We had travelled on an early morning flight with my 89 year old dad, despite allowing a check in a little earlier (40 minutes), no one met us, the key was left in the light fitting outside the apartment. All we wanted to do was rest before heading out to meet the rest of our party. We could not rest on dirty beds. Due to lack of communication and waiting hours I informed the host I would go and purchase new bedding from Morrisons (across the road) and toilet roll which we were also missing. We did and remade the beds ourselves. On leaving the apartment in the evening (about 7:30pm) we found a bag had been left outside the door with clean bedding. No one had even knocked. This was in complete contrast to my sister in law who had rented another apartment in the complex who was met (by her host) and had everything explained to her, her apartment was spotless. We gave the host the opportunity to reimburse us for the very reasonably priced bedding we purchased, they wouldn’t. One shower head was held up with a hair bobble and toilet bowls unclean (again reported) toothbrush holders were dirty. Needs a full sized ironing board and iron travel ones are insufficient.

Disappointing experience despite a great locationThe apartment has a great location, close to Ocean Village, and the view of the Rock is excellent. The unit was clean, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing due to issues with communication, check-in, and the accuracy of the listing.Check-in was very frustrating. Although the listed check-in time was 3:00 PM, we did not receive instructions until after 4:00 PM, despite sending several messages to the host requesting information. The check-in instructions were some of the poorest we have experienced. Thankfully, the concierge noticed us struggling in the car park and came to help, and they were very kind and helpful.The Vrbo listing was not accurate in several important ways. It states parking is available but does not clearly explain that it is paid parking. The listing says the apartment sleeps 6, but there was only bedding for two beds (suitable for 4 people) and only three towels provided.There were no apartment instructions for basics such as the air conditioning or TV. Supplies were very limited: no dish soap, no cleaning cloths, no extra blankets or pillows, and only one towel per bathroom.The location and views are definitely positives, but the poor communication, delayed check-in information, missing instructions, and mismatch between the listing and what was provided made this a disappointing stay.
