The Apple Room

Your spacious suite with gas fireplace is in the family home, nestled in a sunny forest, setback quietly off an easy access main road in Beachcombers, Gibsons, B.C. Enjoy all the amenities of this oceanside town. Close to beach and local shops but set in the woods. Wheelchair accessible suite with a queen bed, exposed beam, bathroom has a wheel in shower and grab bars for piece of mind. Cable/Netflix/YouTube/WiFi, coffee maker and tea. There is a $20 fee for each friendly pet per night.

The space:
The suite is located in the home.
Private safe parking, 2 ponds for viewing pond life and for families of deer that frequent the property. Enjoy a fresh brewed tea or coffee on the front deck overlooking one of the ponds. Chickens and honeybees working hard all day. Grab something from the garden, berries or an apple from one of the many trees to choose from. 5-minute walk to a school playground. Walking distance to a Brewhouse and Distillery. Enjoy golf or mountain biking. Jump off one of the docks into the beautiful ocean. The stars twinkle bright in the night sky.

Guest access:
Front deck as well as front and back yards.

During your stay:
Owner will be available 24/7 and lives on the premise.
Small level of farm and family noise to be expected.

Other things to note:
There is a $20/hour cash fee if you want to check out after 11am.

Outstandingly clean, which is a great standard to have. Great yard for your pets and a nice deck view for morning coffee or evening dinner.

Tea was very friendly and greeted us when we arrived. The place was set up to receive us as well as a dog last min (I was dog sitting while friends hosted their rehearsal dinner). Honestly the best place to bring a dog as he provided water, toys, towels, beds, bowls, everything you need. The location is great, again for a dog too, as you are just a few min walk from a pet store and banditry cider. The property and unit were very nice, loved the sound of crickets at night. My partner and I couldn't help but compare to our last nights out of the house (we spent a few nights at rockwater in June and waaaaaay overpaid for a tiny, loud, sad cabin). This place was way nicer and much more enjoyable. Tea definitely takes pride in being a great host and it shows.

Everything was very smooth from check-in to check-out. Hosts were very accommodating and lovely to deal with. Room was spacious and clean. Lots of added little touches from complimentary coffee, popcorn, apples, dog bowl and dog towel! Located close to everything in Gibsons.

While the place was cute and the host friendly, its just a bedroom and ensuite in the hosts main house. There is only a small table separating your space from the hosts. I was thrown off since VRBOs policy is that you dont share space with the host. The bed was comfy and clean but not what I was expecting booking with VRBO vs other sites.

The Apple room looked like the photos. The only thing I didn’t realized was you walk into the owners home to get to your room, and connected to the main house just outside where you stay. Some noise was easily heard, and you did feel like you had to be fairly quiet due to being so close to the owners main living area. Owners were accommodating though! Good amenities as well!

Lovely Stay at the Apple Room

The host, Tea, was very accommodating. It was nice to have a “private” deck overlooking the yard and pond. The room itself was full of little touches to make a guest’s stay enjoyable. Also, pet friendly was wonderful! My pup enjoyed his vacation too! And while it is a “farm” it is centrally located with easy access to everything Gibsons has to offer. I would highly recommend it. And hope to be back soon! Cheers!

Wonderful place

We so enjoyed our stay here and the host was extremely helpful and accommodating. The place was clean and well stocked with a small fridge, microwave, kettle and a large bathroom.

I had a fantastic stay! The hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The room was spotless and well-maintained, located in a peaceful neighborhood with plenty of outdoor space to relax and enjoy. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed the location, quiet and a deer came to greet us. The large room was very well appointed and had everything we needed. The spacious bathroom had soft thick towels and the bed very comfortable. Tea gave us a friendly informative greeting. Would definitely stay there again.

Large room

Nice setting in the country. Really appreciated all the little extras.Unfortunately, not happy with the description online. You cannot claim that there is a kitchen with no sink or stove. A 5' counter where a closet should be, with only a coffee maker, microwave and a 1.7 cubic ft fridge does make it a kitchen. Also we were expecting a seperate bedroom, not just a large room exactly like a hotel room. Very difficult when you have two people with different sleep schedules.Based on VRBO description we expected different.I wished we paid closer attention to the reviews before booking.
