Loved the view. Gourmet kitchen was great. The place was immaculate. Manger was very helpful. The beach was great but everything else was great . We are planning on going back for 40th anniversary in a few years

Beautiful vintage lake house with spectacular views! Our extended family of 14 stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed the house and the lake. The kitchen, porch and dining areas were great for a big family. We rented a big pontoon boat and kept it in the big boat house, making a trip to Wolfeboro and fishing on the lake. Be prepared for a somewhat strenuous walk down to and back up from the lake ( although you can drive around and down there). We swam and fished from the shoreline and boathouse docks and had a couple of evening fires in the lakeside fire pit. Great stay!!Robert is a great host and very thorough in his check-in process and walk through!

Had seven adults and two toddlers for a week. Although a lot of work has gone into the house be aware it is an older house. So accept creaky floors and window AC. There is a walk in shower on the third floor and a tub shower on both second floor bathrooms. The kitchen was fantastic for making our family dinner. Owner was very accommodating and responsive. Some windows were hard to open and shut. Some beds are against the wall so a partner may have to climb over another to exit the bed. Porch view and chairs were phenomenal. You will never tire of the view.

Spectacular lake front home with boathouse.

The Lincoln Cottage was the most equipped kitchen ever, with awesome cooking stoves and a big refrigerator. The towels, dish towels and sheets were provided. Extra pillows were available for renters. The front porch was wonderful with a hammock, rocking chairs and an eating round table. Card playing was a must at night and the view was fabulous.

Fantastic place

We had a fantastic stay at the lincoln cottage. The house was very comfortable, with the most incredible porch and view. Close to everthing too, from restaurants to shopping, to a great farmer's market we went to every day. We would definitely stay here again.

Unforgettable Views

Beautiful classic older house with a Million dollar view. Robert the owner was a great host going over everything we need to know about staying in his home. The covered porch was great during a passing storm allowing us to stay dry while still being outside. The boathouse was a additional excellent feature where i was able to store my paddle boards & a pontoon boat that we rented for the week while we stayed there. I would highly recommend staying here.

A Great Place for a Large Family Gathering

Our extended family of 13 enjoyed a truly excellent week at The Lincoln Cottage. We have rented many VRBO places in the US and Europe and this house is incomparably better equipped than any of them. The owner, Robert, met us upon arrival and gave us a very detailed tour of the house and its many amenities. The views from the expansive front porch are spectacular. And we loved the lake. It would be difficult to have a better VRBO experience on Lake Winnipesaukee.

Great location, lovely property

Very nice, large home. Kitchen is fantastic! Location on the lake is great for fantastic views and the boat house is ideally situated to make docking a boat fairly easy. Owner was incredibly helpful as well and checked in over the two weeks via text to be sure we had everything we needed.

Summer week at the Lincoln Cottage

This is a really fascinating and lovely property. Large rooms, comfortable beds and a phenomenal view over the lake from the porch. We were treated to grandstand seats for TWO boat races. We easily cooked for and seated a group of 8 adults for all our meals. And we could have probably handled twice that number in th well equipped kitchen. We had a great week!

Amazing stay with a big group

Very welcoming owner who met us at the property to give us a tour. We had a girls trip and there was enough space for all of us comfortably. The entire 3rd floor was equipped with a pool table, games, bar set, bed and bathroom which was perfect for those who like to stay up late. The chefs kitchen was gorgeous and was the center of activities. The deck was also to die for. A must stay!

Family wedding

We have a large extended family who all traveled up for our daughter’s wedding. This place provided an excellent spot to see and enjoy the lake. The history of the home and the beautiful restoration had us all in awe. Even in the ran, we enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the storm. Thank you for letting us stay!

Great location / Unique property

The property has the best view on the lake. The boat house is amazing and convenient. The game room is better than most resorts. The deck is serenity as you watch the boats cruise by while seeing Mt Washington peak in the distance. Visitors will be amazed as they navigate the historic mansion. Well maintained and meticulously cared for by the host. Lake life at its best!

Best views in the Lakes region!

What an absolutely amazing location and a gorgeous historic mansion. Our family was so comfortable here. 4 adults, 4 kids, plenty of privacy and separate spaces to be. Gorgeous boat house for our boating needs and a fire pit for s'mores with the kiddos. Fully equipped kitchen right down to a classic coffee grinder for fresh brew. We are a musical family and so enjoyed the 3rd floor jam room and clavinova! HIGHLY recommended. Our gracious host was very informative, communicative and caring in the best way possible. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Best time at Lincoln Cottage

Wonderful historic property! The views are not to be believed. Robert could not be a more gracious host. The house is equipped with more than you could ever need. Robert was available to help with any issues that came up, although not many did. Our time went very smoothly. The top floor room is a fantastic spot for gathering and playing. The kitchen is amazing. We had a family reunion with up to 20 people coming and going and we all had the best time. And that was in the dead of winter! I can't even imagine how much fun this property would be in the summer! In short, Robert and the Lincoln Cottage deserve all the 5 star reviews you see here. Personally, I would give them more if I could!

All that was promised and more!

In short this was an exceptional property with the consummate host! My family (5 of us) had a tremendous time at The Lincoln Cottage. I was blown away by how well outfitted the kitchen, and the whole property, were. I packed a bag of kitchen tools and devices and frankly needed none. The rooms were all clean and charming and the main floor was cozy and comfortable We were there over Christmas and Rob even had a tree up for us. From an amenities and comfort standpoint the property was all that it promised and more. The harder to describe was the "Vibe". This is clearly a house that has known a loving family and that permeates the entire place. There is just a sense of warmth and comfort that is hard to put your finger on. The large fireplace with the couches all around inspired reading, napping and in the evenings, laughing and family games. The wrap around porch afforded great views of the lake and the Boat House offered the perfect location for our "Polar Plunge"! As a host Rob was fantastic. He greeted us warmly with a tour when we arrived and txtd a couple times to check on us. He was available but by no means over present. I wish all hosts could strike his balance. Over all this was an outstanding experience by every measure. I give Rob the high marks possible and will look forward to returning again this summer!!

The wonderful and inviting Lincoln Cottage…

Robert was wonderful to deal with from the beginning. When we arrived, he showed up to provide a tour and insights into the workings of the home and its fully stocked kitchen. Although we were not blessed with the best of weather during our stay, the home provided an ideal spot to hang out together around the fire or overlooking the lake. It was well maintained and clean and the top floor was a perfect spot for the kids to play, hang out, or just chill. A wonderful spot to spend a winter or summer week. Thank you Robert for your hospitality!

Weekend getaway

Really enjoyed our stay for a long weekend with a group of friends. The house is comfortable with an amazing kitchen. Views are incredible from the main deck and the 3rd floor. Definitely would rent again!

The view!!!

The view and sunrise from Lincoln Cottage over the lake are unimaginable. There is easy access to swim, an extremely stocked kitchen and plenty of linens for large groups. The owner is fantastic to deal with and makes sure your stay is perfect!

More wonderful memories made on Winnepesaukee!

This home was perfect for a family gathering! We gathered as a family to honor my Dad who brought us all to the lakes region way back when. The house was perfect for meals, games and water activities together and close to camp grounds for extra sleeping. Robert was an excellent host and the the house had everything your could think of! We brought a boat as well and the boat house worked out perfectly. Highly recommend!
