Amazing
Stayed with my partner and our dog. Bob and Sharon were so nice even though we got in later. They checked in to see if we needed more fire wood or anything else to make our stay better. I would 100% stay there again!!

Micro Cabin-a slice of paradise!
100/10 stars! Bob and Sharon were quick to respond, friendly, warm, knowledgable and incredibly helpful! Such amazing hosts! The micro cabin is unreal, such a little gem! Cozy, clean, everything you want or need is there and ready to use. There was so much thought and effort into this cabin and the needs of guests. The property! Trails upon trails to explore. I spend so much time in the trails and yet I didn't get all the items on the savanger hunt, guess that means I'll have to go back next year for another stay! I'll be going back as often as I possibly can, I already look forward to it. Thank you Bob and Sharon for sharing this lovely, quiet, peaceful place with Myla and I! We appreciate you so much and we had the best vacation 🙂 They

This micro cabin was soooo nice for me and my little dog! We had the best time and look forward to returning and hopefully renting the tiny cabin as well with more friends and pups. The walking trails were very fun and everything was very well thought out and cute. The hosts were also very amazing people! Couldn't recommend enough.

Amazing would be an understatement!
Dear Bob & Sharon, In one sentence, we will come back! 😅 The cabin is amazing, everything so well thought out, very clean & with everything you need! As a couple, it was the perfect getaway, with lots of privacy & the vibe is just wow. The makeshift shower, the outhouse, the wash station all extremely clean + The hosts are super helpful & easy to deal with! 😅 P.S : just book it! No regrets Fezan & Massirah

Wonderful getaway

The micro cabin was SO cute and homey! Everything that we could have needed to stay there (stuff for dining, stuff for entertainment, etc.) for the weekend was there - the amenities were so thoughtfully chosen. Not only was the cabin so fun to stay in, but the hosts were so hospitable as well. Definitely would stay there again!

My Great Escape
I had a great time walking the trails and experiencing the beautiful backdrop all around me and being close to nature (unfortunately mosquitoes are part of nature too). The hammock was my go-to spot to rest after having long walks and a quick shower using rainwater. My two nights were spent next to the warm glow of the fire pit and enjoyed the peace and solitude, punctuated by the occasional coyote yipping in the distance. Liked that the cabin is hooked up to solar panels for power, even for the small pump used for drawing drinking water. Love how the treetops swayed with the wind and the sound of the leaves rustling as if telling you to be still and chill. Hope to be back someday.

Fun time in Silence
Loved my getaway with my wife. We stayed warm in the cold October weather with lots of firewood and a great indoor stove. Great time in Gimli and enjoyed the peace and solitude of the land. Beautiful star-filled skies.

What a treat
The property is incredible. There are mowed hiking trails running all over this huge property that include features like a huge pond, a super romantic star gazer's bench, multiple scavenger hunts, and plenty of wildlife. The micro cabin is seriously perfect for what we wanted. There is just enough room to lounge on the couch, prepare dinner/make coffee, and the loft bed hangs above(note that if you're taller than 5'10 you might have to sleep diagonal). The tiny wood stove can keep it toasty when it's cold at night. Everything runs on solar power, so that was pretty cool too. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with pots/pans, utensils, and a French press and kettle. The hosts provide all the firewood you could need. And our hosts were lovely and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Thanks Bob & Sharon!

Beautiful views
The property was beautiful and well maintained. Wonderful trees as far as the eye could see. The hosts were very welcoming and kind. Lots of bugs, mosquitoes and ants, that was the only down fall; was hard to hike even with spray on. The property was very clean, even the outhouse! There were lots of activities, from hiking, to cornhole, fris-beer and DVDs. Wood was provided for the fire, it was wet inside the pieces, which ended up being perfect as the smoke scared away mosquitoes so sitting by the fire was nice and relaxing. Was a fantastic get-away, the Micro Cabin is so cute and comfortable. Loved the porches, they were perfect for when it rained. The hammock was great for reading a book after hiking. Info not previously mentioned in other reviews: The outhouse for the Micro Cabin is in the shared main space, only the Tiny Cabin has a private outhouse. That could be awkward if others are enjoying the games or fire in the main space. I was lucky as there were no guests at the Tiny Cabin. The shared space is beside the Micro Cabin on the driveway in, and the Tiny Cabin is on the other side, they are all on the same road and can both be seen by the Micro Cabin. Due to the privacy of the property it would definitely be amazing to rent both cabins with friends/family. Definitely recommend.

Best hosts ever, cool cabin
Bob and Sharon's warm and friendly hospitality and their microcabin made for a wonderful stay. The micro cabin is so interesting, it was cozy and fun, and the area of Manitoba in which it sits is just beautiful.

We will come back!!
Hosts Bob and Sharon have created a wonderful place! We enjoyed the micro cabin and the common area. While we didn't do everything that the property offered (like the scavenger hunt), they had an eye for detail with amenities and activities. Please reread the tips in the listing: I almost forgot to bring bedding and extra bottles of frozen water in the cooler helped. The micro cabin was very reasonably priced and a great experience.

Absolutely wonderful!
We stayed at the micro cabin over May long weekend. Even though there’s been so much rain prior, we were still able to go for nice hikes and enjoy the outdoors. The names on the signs are one of the best parts of walking around, kudos to Bob and Sharon for the creativity!! Can’t wait to book again!

Adorable micro cabin and property!
My partner and I rented the micro cabin in late October to celebrate my birthday. We were looking for a “cabin in the woods” type of experience. While we ended up not bringing our dog, we loved that it was an option. We also wanted a cabin that was wood burning heat and solar powered, which it was. The micro cabin was absolutely adorable and had so much charm! You can tell that Bob and Sharon put so much time and effort and love into every single thing in the cabins, outhouses, trails, etc. Even though it was cold, the tiny stove kept us plenty warm. The scavenger hunt ended up giving us 4 hours of hilarious entertainment, and we had so much fun exploring the property. Bob and Sharon were wonderful hosts, and we felt so welcomed and really enjoyed Getting to know them. We are looking forward to going back again and would highly recommend it!

Perfect getaway from the worries of the world
I was greeted by Sharon and Bob, the hosts, who guided me to the cabin. I followed their Jeep in my vehicle. I was shown the micro cabin that I had booked, and loved it. Because I had 2 dogs with me and it was rainy and cool, they offered me a free upgrade to the new tiny cabin, just down the road. I was thrilled to have the extra space….all on 1 level, as I am 71 with bad knees. Of course it was a fabulous and unique experience with great walking trails etc. The owners are very kind and helpful. Highly recommend!!!

10/10! Adorable tiny cabin, with all the fixings. Just bring bedding and food! There were outdoor and indoor games available, and tons of trails to explore with super fun scavenger hunts! A perfect weekend getaway!

Home away from home
Had a lovely staycation with my husband at the micro cabin the past few days. The cabin is located on a beautiful private property, surrounded by a variety of walking trails. The space is equipped with everything you need. I can’t wait to come back ! Thanks again Bob and Sharon for creating such a lovely space, we had a lovely time.

Amazing Time!!!
The micro cabin was absolutely perfect for myself, my mother and my daughter. We average 5 feet tall, 110lbs and had plenty of room for all three of us. But as cool as the cabin was the treasure hunt was what will stick in our memories for a very long time. It was so great hiking through the bushes and finding all the treasures. We are pretty competitive people and couldn’t check out until we found all the treasures. Lol. Bob and Sharon are amazing hosts and i will certainly be telling everyone about this sweet little getaway.

Relaxing in a 100 + acre woods
It was a wonderfully relaxing stay at the micro cabin at Sharon and Bob’s place. Even though it was kind of rainy, cloudy and cooler temperatures. We enjoyed walking the many trails with our own handmade walking stick from the hosts.

Micro Cabin Mega Discoveries
Not only is this micro cabin cute, it is jam packed with interesting things - always something to catch your eye. The same goes for the many trails that you can walk or ride your bike. We were so amazed with the items that the hosts provided for the guests - dishes, kitchen wear (pan to fry an egg on the wood stove), skewers to roast marshmallows or hot dogs, solar lights outdoors, candles, umbrella, flashlights, books - the list goes on….. We have never experienced such hospitality. The hosts are exceptionally wonderful! You are guaranteed a wonderful escape!

Unique get-away
A very nice place with welcoming hosts. You truly only need bedding, towels and food. There are even games and books available. We enjoyed the trails, bird watching and finding the scavenger hunt items. The only down side was the weather. Too hot!! This is when the outdoor shower was much appreciated.

Even better than expected!
We had an amazing time in Bob and Sharon's micro cabin! The description posted on the listing was accurate, the actual experience was even better! Our hosts were accommodating, helpful, and very respectful of our privacy. The site itself is beautiful with some very neat bike trails that crisscross the entire property. We had an amazing time and look forward to staying here again!

An absolute gem!! We had such a wonderful stay. Sharon and Bob are lovely hosts who have put a ton of work into making their property magical. The cabin is perfect for two, has everything you need and more. The trails are immaculate and we had so much fun exploring. Can’t wait to go back!

We're glad you enjoyed it! Cabin 2 offers a slightly different stay than the micro-cabin. Each is unique! We've added the awnings for shade on cabin 2 and it currently can sleep up to 3. We'll be replacing the reclining sofa/chairs with a hide a bed so we can sleep up to 4 as soon as we can.

Wow, what a lovely little retreat this was for me. Bob and Sharon have really created a little oasis here. The trails where super fun and even though I walked them every day I don’t think I managed to see all there was to offer. The micro cabin was just perfect! Functional and well appointed, I had great sleeps and delicious meals. The hosts where easy to contact if I needed them, even stating they would come get me with the quad if I found myself lost in their extensive trail system! This rejuvenating soul-o retreat was just what I needed. Thank you Bob and Sharon!

A little piece of paradise!
Very secluded out in nature. If you love camping, nature and quiet, then this is the place to be. Enough amenities for comfort and just the right amount of “roughing it”. A combination of being at the cottage and camping. Very private and relaxing. We would definitely recommend to get away from it all. Beautiful property!
