The hotel is unassuming from the outside, and with construction all around, I was a little worried. The sign outside is small. The location is awesome, right outside the train station in downtown Glasgow.
When you enter the building, you have to go up to the 6th floor to get to the hotel…different. Once you get there, the reception area has cakes, which is a nice touch. The room was fairly spacious (I got upgraded to a double), though it looked a bit austere. Everything was clean, and the shower was nice. The TV only had a few channels, which was frustrating because there was a soccer match I wanted to watch. Breakfast was a buffet. The fruit salad was really nice, the hot options were fine, but the pastry was a day or two old. There was a bit of street noise at night, and construction noise in the morning. Overall it was a good stay for the price, and the location is super convenient.
