Giardino recintato, parzialmente con prato verde con salottino e mobili. Parcheggio su strada .. Situato in posizione centrale nella città mercantile di High Peak di Glossop con facile accesso a tutti i servizi della città, questo cottage a schiera offre una sistemazione confortevole per le vacanze in una buona posizione per esplorare tutto ciò che la zona ha da offrire, incluso lo splendido Parco Nazionale di Peak District. Questo affascinante cottage a schiera si trova di fronte al Manor Park, che un tempo faceva parte della Glossop Hall e oggi è uno dei parchi più famosi della zona con giardino paesaggistico, lago, campi da tennis e area giochi per bambini. Le famiglie apprezzeranno anche le caverne situate intorno alla città termale di Buxton, il museo minerario e le miniere di Matlock, a 32 miglia, e la Cannon Hall Farm a Cawthorne, a 22 miglia. Ci sono anche diverse grotte di spettacoli intorno a Castleton, a 15 miglia. Per coloro che preferiscono tutti i servizi che una grande città ha da offrire, Manchester è a soli 15 miglia di distanza. Tra le famose attrazioni della città e nei dintorni vi sono l'Old Trafford, il Trafford Centre, il Chill Factor e il paracadutismo indoor Airkix. Lovely comfy cottage in great location for town and park. Cake and wine left for us which was a nice welcome. Easy parking outside cottage. Great if you have a dog with you.Owner was super helpful with a last minute change of plan and posting back an item I left behind.Would highly recommend and hope to book again next time we’re in the beautiful Peak District.

The cottage was very clean, comfortable, cosy and well-equipped. We enjoyed sitting in the pretty garden in the sunshine. Manor Park was a lovely peaceful place to walk, play with our grandchild and have a waterside picnic. My daughter and I enjoyed the Park Run on Saturday morning too! Overall we had a most enjoyable holiday. Thank you.

A great cottage ideally situated opposite a park ideal for walking our 2 dogs. Warm and comfortable and garden ideal for our dogs. Conveniently situated close to town and a short drive to many towns and villages. Dogs welcome in local shops and cafes. This was our second stay at Park View and I am sure we will return again.

Lovely cottage in great location. Parking is on road which most of the time was fine but there was one time when we had to park a little distance away. Cottage was lovely and cosy with enclosed garden which was great for our dog and the owner left lovely welcome gifts which was really kind. Bedroom and bathrooms were perfect and kitchen was well provided with good equipment - only comment would be it could so with a deep clean of the cupboards and equipment as cutlery was not that clean and we had to wash before using and cups were well stained but I guess that’s as there was no dishwasher and previous people did not leave clean. Kettle needed a good clean also. Lounge was lovely and cosy and nice touches like extra blankets provided - not always needed as you can control the heating yourself so temp was always perfect. Overall lovely cottage and would recommend.

A great base to explore the High Peaks. My wife and I took our dog who thoroughly enjoyed Manor Park, opposite the cottage. Beds and furniture comfy, good range of kitchen appliances and a homely feel. The welcome basket was a nice touch, the wine goes well with the lemon drizzle cake!Glossop is a lovely little town with a good range of shops and supermarkets and there are picturesque villages dotted all over North Derbyshire, most pubs are dog friendly.For those interested in stately homes and history, we visited Dunham Massey, Lyme (both National Trust - we are members) and Bramhall Hall owned by Stockport Council. On previous visits to south Derbyshire we visited Hardwick Hall, Calke Abbey, Haddon Hall and Chatsworth, but they are quite a drive from Manor Park Cottage.Glossop sits in Glossopdale, everywhere is up from there, you're surrounded by tall hills. A very relaxing place to be surrounded by spectacular scenery. The weather was good to us too, apart from the Sunday when it rained all day. We took the opportunity to have a drive around and visited Tideswell, where the St. John the Baptist church is known as the "Cathedral of the Peaks" and Castleton, home of the Blue John mines - last time we were there we took Kobbs, our dog, down a mine! He goes with us wherever possible or probable.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and thoroughly recommend Park Cottage.

I’m originally from the Glossop area so can confirm that Park View is in a prime location in the desirable ‘Old Glossop’ part of town, set at the foot of the Pennines. We had a wonderful stay with everything on our doorstep- the cottage is directly opposite the beautiful Manor Park, there’s a selection of charming pubs in both directions of stepping outside the door, there’s a corner convenience shop, a take away, and it’s just a 5-10 minute stroll to the town centre and a good variety of cafes, bars, more pubs and local shops. The cottage itself was immaculately clean (something I’m very particular about!), cosy, has a gorgeous fireplace and a lovely garden. Parking wasn’t a problem either and we could park directly outside the cottage. It really is a home from home and would definitely recommend. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again on a return visit. This is our 2nd visit to Parkview cottage.

This is our 2nd visit to Parkview cottage. We love it. Cottage exceptionally clean. The local pubs are different this year obviously. You have to book a table and prebook your food the night before. The hanging kebabs in the wheatsheaf highly recommended (hanging on a skewer). Lots of walks from the village. We had planned to eat Sunday breakfast in the little corner cafe opp the queens but they don't serve cooked breakfast. So we headed in town and the other cafe was closed near the crossroads. M&S cafe don't serve breakfast either only prepacked sandwiches. The cafe next to the brook tavern was heaving with bikers and an hour wait so it was weatherspoons in the end. Our host was very accomodating on an extremely hot day when we were concerned about taking our dog out!Nothing was too much trouble and when our daughter left something behind , it was kindly posted to us.Thank you for a wonderful stay, just the break we needed. Would definitely recommend to others.

Very pleasant stay in Glossop. Cottage very convenient for shopping, dog walking, park opposite, and local pubs for food. Cottage was nice and clean with lovely furnishings. Would recommend to friends. Also had a small but nice enclosed garden at the back - very dog/child friendly.

I was looking for a weekend away and saw this cottage, it ticked all the boxes for us having 2 dogs.

I was looking for a weekend away and saw this cottage, it ticked all the boxes for us having 2 dogs. We arrived early, walked the dogs in the park opposite and had a drink in the Queens while it was ready, the landlady came to the pub with the key, very nice lady. Thanks for the carrot cake & milk and there was plenty of tea bags, something you never find, you're lucky if they leave you 4. Unfortunately the weather made it impossible to visit the local attractions we had torrential rain, snow & hail, making the garden & the park a mud-bath. I had dog towels laid out from back door to front room and was constantly wiping their feet. There's plenty of dvd's to watch. Having 2 big dog beds in the tiny kitchen, took all the room, we had to evict them every morning just to move around. I knew about the fire not being real, shame my staffy kept nudging me and nudging the fire, 'mum put the fire on' sorry sweets its not real....ahhh. We would love to book again next year in the better weather, so we can enjoy the area. There's 3 pubs in a little triangle, the bulls head, Wheatsheaf and the Queens, all dog friendly, although in the bull its only at the bar or the side room, everyone so friendly we were even invited to join the locals on the Friday/Saturday nights for drinks.
