“We really enjoyed our time at the Maple Point hideout. The setting is peaceful and secluded. The view of the bay is gorgeous. We loved taking the paddleboat out to explore a couple of the small islands nearby. We saw bald eagles!The cabin itself had everything we needed and then some. Screened porch had a wonderful view. Board games were a nice touch, we hadn't played "Sorry" since we were kids and had fun playing it as adults.Really sad to leave yesterday. Everyone we met in the UP was...

“We’ve stayed at this house before and have always enjoyed it. Plenty of room for 4 adults and a baby, a very well stocked kitchen, and a gorgeous view. Walkable to everything we need. Check-in and out was easy and the house was well-stocked with supplies. The internet connection was spotty, so maybe not the place to work remotely. But otherwise- perfect”

“My partner, dog and I came to sugar island to experience a new place in the UP and we will certainly be returning to Sweet Retreat!! Sheri and Jeff were the most accommodating of hosts and truly go above and beyond to ensure everyone’s comfort and fun. We used the bikes on the property and were lucky enough to take a pontoon cruise with the hosts our last night. The cabin was absolutely adorable and had everything we needed. I couldn’t recommend staying here enough! We can’t wait to come back!”

“Wow! We were absolutely amazed by the wonderful hospitality of these hosts! They made sure we had everything we needed and provide such a peaceful and gorgeous setting on Sugar Island. “We spent a week at the cabin. It’s a cozy space, perfect for me and my husband. Very close to the grocery and marina. The bedroom was huge with a comfy bed. The place had everything we needed. We did have crazy hot weather and there is no AC, but the owner did offer a window unit, plus there were several fans. Overall a really great little cabin.”
