“Don’t be fooled by the location you have to drive through an industrial area but once you get to the lodge it’s over looking the river very peaceful and quiet. You’re only 5 minutes from downtown Golden. Very friendly staff they went above and beyond of being helpful. Our room was a bit small but very clean bedding and towels were new . The lobby was spotless. I would highly recommend the Lodge a Lantern!”

“The hotel was decently clean but so many things were NOT up to standard. The gym smelled moldy and had one kettlebell and two cardio pieces that were very old and gross. The clock wasn’t working and there was nothing to clean the equipment with. The second floor ice maker didn’t work. The plug in by the nightstand was so loose it didn’t charge anything. The shower made a screaming noise for about 5 minutes. Even the key cards looked like they’d been used 100 times and were dirty and scratched...

“It was alright. It’s like you’re camping with a safe place to stay. You should bring your own firewood otherwise they will charge you. But there is a lot of sticks and wood laying around you can use if you pick it up yourself. The power went out so we didnt have lights at night, but it was an adventure. I would go again later in the summer. It’s not a luxurious experience but if you’re adventurous and like to do random things you will have fun. The horses were not there yet. It was a 3/5 for...

“Arrived around 10pm and the property is tucked away and very serene. Beds were amazing and a balcony that we could enjoy a fantastic morning view of the mountains before our departure. Staff was very helpful getting us checked in and out.”

“Overall pleasant stay, very comfortable bed. Would be nicer if our key cards didn’t stop working the second day or if room service was provided. We didn’t get notified that it would not be provided and there was no sign saying that either.”
