“We chose to pay at the property with cash and had to put a cash deposit(refundable) with what we paid for the room. But I dont remember seeing or reading that there would be a "cash deposit" for a "cash transaction" on the website. When I asked what the deposit was for the lady was a little snippy and stated it would be for any damages found. We are old so highly unlikley we would create any damages! When checking out there was no one at the desk so we had to check out with the "kiosk...

“Nice looking hotel for where it’s located. Lobby, workout facility and room all looked great. The service, however, was absolutely horrible. Front desk didn’t greet us or ask how our stay was, etc. - something you expect when staying at any hotel. They had a room service option and when I called that number in the morning the gentlemen on the other line sounded like it was his first day on the job. No greeting again, just a “hello?” and asking for room service took about 10 minutes as it seemed...

“The reception desk person was very nice and made sure I was able to access the room okay. I was happy that this property was pet friendly. At first glance the room looked good, but when I laid down and looked at the ceiling, I noticed a bunch of red stains above the bed. The area of town the property is in is rundown and a little sketchy and once I got in the room, I locked the door and didn't leave until I checked out in the morning.”
