Last minute request for an extra £20 deposit, Hole in the wall behind the bedroom door, Some black staining (maybe mould) on bathroom floor between tiles, Broken bedroom curtains, carpet lifting by the bedroom door, but mostly the extra deposit which I must get back.

DO NOT STAY!!!!
Shocking customer service Hostel manager threatens guests and tries to lock you in your room at 11pm If you try to leave the room for a cigarette outside, he tells you that you have broken (HOTEL??) more like hostel policy and cannot continue your stay and will not refund the remainder of the stay

Checking was a terrible experience. No card machine wanted bank tranfer which wasnt a great thing email about this came out 1hr after we checked in smelt of weed and damp .matteres on bed had seen better days very uncomfortable. Lots of different rooms which is fine but hallways cluttered with old furniture .hoovers .boxes just wasnt presentable at all

The property is conveniently located to all things in Gosport. Our first night was ok as it was quiet but the next two were noisy due to thin wall between the units. Also, asked for a second key when checked in and never received it.

great hotel for great price
I have stayed hear a few times and never had a problem. great hotel in a great location. The one thing I would say that is negative is when staying in room 20 you could use a few shelfs in the bathroom to put some bits on rather than put it on the floor.

What was unique was the rudeness of staff and lack of integrity. I have never met such arrogance and unprofessional and un-ethical conduct and lack of empathy and lack of communication in my whole life. What a nightmare. An Inn? Utter rubbish. Not worth booking in. Do not waste your time. I came to realise finally that cheap things are expensive. It was a night mare

Disappointing experience.
We were in Gosport for a funeral at 1pm. Flew in from the USA overnight. Arriving in Gosport at 10am. Hotel would not allow us to check in early so we could freshen up and change. In fact they would not even open the door, just spoke to us through the intercom! Room was barely bigger than the size of the bed with little room to open two suitcases and be able to walk about. So all in all not a great experience, disappointing!

Not as bad as other reviews
The reviews were not great but we gave it a go for victorious festival. We were pleasantly surprised, the room was very spacious. Beds not amazing but big and a spare bed in we weren’t expecting. The bathroom was clean although the shower head was to heavy for the holder so we leant it against the wall to go ‘hands free’. We were provided with fresh towels each day along with hot drink facilities. It was quiet and a 10 minute walk to the ferry for Southsea. It was pricey for a not so up to date hotel but I think it was due to the festival weekend.

The blinds in room 13 would not close properly which meant we were up as soon as the sun was up at 6am, the shared shower had no cold water to cool the shower down so I couldn't have a proper shower but the bed was comfy that was all that was good about it and the staff were friendly I would not stay there again I would rather stay in Portsmouth in future

Less than basic!
Very Expensive for for the very poor condition of the hotel/room. No breakfast or dining area provided, although beds were made while we were out, no bedside cabinet my side, a panel on the wall fell of when we shot the room door, thin walls, could hear everything next room. No safe. Had to go to the local Morrisons for breakfast!

Twin beds wanted and double given
Very basic but that is fine as was very clean and the receptionist very pleasant. Booked a twin room with separate beds but was given a double bed as no twins available 🤔. Meant us 2 brothers in law shared a bed, not what we wanted but when we rang home both our wives thought it hilarious. Would I stay again? Yes, if no other option available as it was an okay hotel in a nice quiet location.

Best value in central Gosport, handy for Portsmout
Helpful, kind and friendly staff went the extra mile for a very late arrival. The place is spotless and in good repair, beds clean and comfortable. Heating was good . . . if you like warmth, I don't and one of my only two minus points was the lack of radiator controls. There were ample sockets for the number of things we cart around nowadays but, my second minus, there was no desk and chair or equivalent to place papers or a laptop on . . . so laptop it had to be! It is around 200 yards from Morissons and a good breakfast and a short walk back to the adequate parking if you came by car. The ferry direct to Portsmouth Harbour station and the shops and museums is fifteen minutes steady walk away and Haslar Marina the same.

Go for cheap and got cheap!
Check in was met with search for reservation. Entry area dirty and uninviting. Finally reservation located. Rooms ok but very worn. Extremely noisy, could hear conversations in other rooms as well as common areas. Someone supposed th be available between 2 -11 pm. No answer to rings and knocks. WiFi reception intermittent at best and I had to find a particular corner in the room to get access at all. Parking area was adequate though. Description of distance to sites somewhat deceptive as we came to the property because it was described as a few minutes walk from historic ships. Accurate in that it was 20 minute walk to a ferry that took you to a dock area that was adjacent to ships. Otherwise it was a 13-14 mile drive. If given the choice again I would have booked elsewhere.

Worth every penny
The room is clean and tidy no frills. It's local to the amenities including transport. The BB was close enough to the location we was attending in Gosport. Not child friendly, guard the fob key. If you leave it in the room your stuffed to be frank ...reception open during random times resolution is not immediate. When it's resolved, they are very professional and friendly and do go above and beyond. Like allowing my suitcase to be stored at the premises to be collected later. I would stay again...worth every penny.
