Hotel vicino a Governor's Residence - Harrisburg

“Bellissima location in una casa dell'800 in un'atmosfera un po' inglese e un po' da favola. Molto cordiali al check in. Camera di dimensioni normali (margee suite) ma molto carina con bagno spazioso. Colazione eccezionale, nella sala da pranzo insieme agli altri ospiti, Macedonia fresca con yogurt e piatto a scelta cucinato al momento. Abbiamo preso french toast con sciroppo d'acero caldo, buonissimo. Un po' fuori da downtown ma in macchina non ci sono problemi.”

“we got what we paid for. the hotel claims to be smoke free but it feels like it had been smoked in for decades before implementing that rule. the carpet had a sticky film that was unpleasant to walk on. the chair, desk, and mirror were all stained. the tv stand was pulled away from the wall when we arrived and i had to move it back myself. the room had a large window into the hallway as if it were on a balcony - but the hallway was entirely indoors. paying extra for parking is pretty tacky, just...

“‘The Central’ was more like an upscale motel than a 4-star facility. After staying at a DoubleTree (3-star hotel) and then staying here, my family was disappointed. This was the least grandeur Best Western Premier series hotel we stayed at. It did not have that exceptional feeling like the rest. The bathroom was nearly the size of a 1980’s walk-in closet and carpet flooring wasn’t doing it for us after being spoiled at stays with hard-surfaced flooring. “Even after repeated requests, staff refused to address internet connection to the provider. My laptop worked everywhere else in Harrisburg except at this Best Western. Ys, there was a 9-hour power outage because of a storm (no backup generator) but even after power resumed staff ignored requests to address lack of internet access.”
