“If your room is on the second floor, prepare to drag your bags upstairs (no elevator). We had dirty towels in the room, and the air conditioning was off in the room, so it was hot and the carpet was wet with humidity. The smell of mold hits you when you open the door. “We had a wonderful stay at the Regency Inn. The owners were extremely friendly, welcoming, and clearly take great pride in their motel. This is not a Hyatt or Hilton, nor does it try to be. It is a traditional motel, and it was very nice, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. Our room was well maintained, and everything appeared fresh and cared for. “More than just updating is needed: The strong musty smell hits you as you walk into the room. The walk-in shower had dirty grout in the corners. Dark walls, dim lighting, and poor window treatments didn’t help. Staff were helpful in changing rooms, but no accessible choices so we had to climb stairs. Tub was clean but had no grab bars. Second room also had strong musty smelling.”
