If you fancy a round of golf, the golf course is just 3 miles away. To the north you’ll reach the southern tip of Lake Windermere in just 8 miles; here you can take a ride on the Haverthwaite Steam Railway which connects seamlessly to the famous steamers on Lake Windermere offering pleasure rides to Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside daily. If you like outdoor adventure, you’ll find amazing scenery and some beautiful fell walks within a few miles, whilst to the east, the popular town of Ulverston and the Laurel and Hardy Museum is well worth a visit.
