Lovely country style hotel. Food was amazing. Dinner was the best we have had in our 4 weeks travelling. Delicious lamb and chicken dishes. Breakfast was also excellent. Rooms were spacious and bed comfortable. Friendly staff. I would definitely consider staying again.

My husband and I spent two nights at this gem of a traditional country hotel while attending the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival. Mark, the proprietor and his entire staff, could not have been more friendly, gracious and accommodating! Fabulous breakfasts and lovely public rooms including a cozy bar with fireplace seating. Bedroom spacious and comfortable. And we also attended a festival whisky pairing dinner at the hotel that was truly delicious created by Mark's wife who is the chef.

Beautiful hotel in a stunning location
I would highly recommend this hotel. Staff were friendly and very welcoming. The hotel was in a lovely location. The room was spacious and beautiful and the bath was welcome after a day of skiing. The breakfast was made to order and exceptionally tasty. We also had dinner one evening and the food was of a high standard.

We stayed here during a recent trip. Staff was very nice and helpful. We chose to have dinner and breakfast here and they were both very good, so glad we did. Would recommend the figs and blue cheese but all else was good. We wish the rooms had USB charging outlets that would have been nice for the future. Our room was huge.

Every single staff member was very welcoming. Great nightly dining available in house, with tasty options. I wish I had more time to explore the surrounding area--as I saw on a map that there are very nice trails close by. I just have one suggestion-and maybe the owners don't even realize this.... if you're given a top floor room, you get ZERO water pressure. I could barely take a shower, it was a trickle. Perhaps everyone was showering at the same time in the morning? But if the staff knows this is an issue, they could have mentioned it upon check-in, and I would have gladly taken my shower the night before.

Very clean, well maintained hotel. The room we had was reasonably spacious with a comfortable (firm) bed and very clean. Sound carries through the hotel (creaky floors and banging doors) so your experience may vary depending who else might be in the hotel, but we found it to be mostly quiet with the occasional bit to hallway or outside noise. The hotel restaurant is very good with a menu that changes slightly from day to day. Restaurant service was a bit slow as they seemed to be understaffed, but the staff were all very friendly despite how busy they looked. Food quality and presentation is excellent. Draft selection is limited to only Peroni with some bottled beers to choose from. Excellent hot breakfast where you choose from a menu of items the night before and a table and your order is ready at your chosen time.

Amazing food
Food was amazing, best potato scones at breakfast and dinner was gorgeous. Room was very comfortable. Staff were all friendly and helpful. It's a big old building so can be a bit draughty on times, just remember a scarf or a jacket. If you're not a dog lover this may not be the place for you as some guests had their dogs in the dining room with them.

An older property which has been reasonably well upgraded. No lift and room two floors up. The room was excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and dinner menus were quite extensive, with quick service and good quality.

Perfekt hotell med utmärkt läge
Vi hittade det perfekta lilla hotellet för oss. Rent överallt, stort rum, bra bar och restaurant. Överlag utmärkt service och en engagerad ägare som verkade vara överallt på hotellet. Personligt - man kände sig mycket välkommen som gäst. Bra läge i en mysig by som bas för våra dagsvandringar i Cairngorms nationalpark. Vi kan verkligen rekommendera detta hotellet. Prisvärt. Vi kommer tillbaka nästa år 👍

This was a quaint hotel located within walking distance of the town center as well as trails which lead to the river. The staff were friendly and helpful. The dinner was very good.

We were greeted by the amiable manager Mark to start our stay from Aug 31-Sep 2, and stayed in room #9, which is quite large and has a king bed. The room and the public spaces were all spotless. We enjoyed a delicious dinner in the hotel dining room that first night and slept well in the very comfortable bed. Breakfast both days was fresh, hot and tasty, served by very capable staff. The hotel is a block away from the downtown area; we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Highly recommend for anyone staying in Grantown-on-Spey!

We had an incredible stay at the Speyside Hotel. The rooms were big, the food was delicious, and the hotel’s bar/lounge area was great for our group of seven to be able to spend time together. The best part about the hotel though is the staff and owners. They were simply amazing and made our trip so much better than it otherwise would have been. We definitely plan to come back.
