Bedrock Cottage offre una vista panoramica unica e straordinaria direttamente dal salotto e dalla cucina, sull'intero fiume Kenmare e in seguito verso le montagne Caha sulla penisola di Beara di fronte. Situato in una posizione molto tranquilla sul proprio terreno di 0,5 ettari, a pochi minuti dalla Wild Atlantic Way. Ideale per il massimo relax o per aiutare la guarigione, la scrittura creativa o come base in una posizione ideale per visitare le penisole di Dingle, Iveragh o Beara, insieme all'anello Skellig e all'Anello di Kerry.

Bedrock Cottage viene lasciato solo da sabato a sabato, durante l'alta stagione! Non è possibile accettare bambini di età inferiore ai 12 anni a causa dell'elevazione della proprietà.

Ben arredato e ben attrezzato con una cucina per la colazione e un ampio soggiorno / sala da pranzo. Grandi porte / finestre scorrevoli panoramiche francesi. Insieme a un frigorifero c'è anche un congelatore separato indipendente. Due camere da letto, una con letto matrimoniale e bagno en suite con doccia a mano e W. C, e una con due letti singoli e doccia en suite e W. C. Piano cottura a gas e forno elettrico. Insieme al frigorifero c'è un Larder Freezer separato. Riscaldamento centralizzato a gasolio (sotto il pavimento). Asciugamani / lenzuola sono tutti forniti. TV. Lavatrice. Lavastoviglie. Microonde. No animali.

Sehr schönes Haus in hervorragender Lage

Das Haus ist wie im Internet beschrieben - es ist sauber und großzügig. Die Küche ist mit allem eingerichtet was man für einen Ferienaufenthalt braucht. Die Kommunikation mit Patrick war reibungslos. Wir können diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Einfach nur: WOW!

Wir haben in den letzten 20 Jahren ziemlich viele Ferienhäuser gebucht, so begeistert waren wir selten (oder gar nicht?). Anfahrt gut beschrieben und knapp 15 Autominuten von Zentrum von Kenmare (~1,5 Std. Cork Airport), mit einem absolut phantastischen Blick auf die Bucht von Kenmare sehr ruhig und als Startpunkt für viele Unternehmungen perfekt gelegen. Wir kamen an, betraten das Haus und fühlten uns zuhause. Zweckmäßig eingerichtet, Landhausstil, alles stimmig, kein Schnickschnack. Im Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett ist die Matratze wirklich gut, die Sessel im Wohnbereich sind bequem. TV, Mikrowelle, Kaffeemaschine, Waschmaschine und Spülmaschine haben wir nicht benutzt, Herd und Backofen in der gut ausgestatteten Küche sind gut funktionierend, Toaster ebenso. Die Dusche im "kleinen" Bad ist ebenfalls gut funktionierend und das Wifi arbeitet störungsfrei. Einige basics in der Küche sind vorhanden (Essig, Öl, Salz, Pfeffer, Zucker, einige Gewürze). Zur Begrüßung gab es eine Flasche Wein, selbiger hat uns gefreut und gemundet. Vielen, herzlichen Dank hier nochmal an Patrick, den wir zwar nicht persönlich kennengelernt haben, der aber bei einem "Miniproblem" schnell helfen konnte. Sollten wir (durchaus denkbar), nochmals Kerry besuchen, würden wir diese Unterkunft garantiert wieder buchen. 🇮🇪☘

Great location and a short drive from Kenmare

We had a great week at Bedrock cottage, we were able to easily access the Beara Peninsula as well as other magnificent parts of the Ring of Kerry. We especially enjoyed The Reeks and cycling on the roads in the area. The tearooms at Lord Brandon's cottage were really great (cash only). We had a fantastic time.

A magical view. A helpful host. A gateway to Kenmare.

Bedrock cottage was indeed a marvel. The view of Kenmare Bay may be one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. The Irish light changed the mountain scape of Beara every hour. The house was very comfortable, the kitchen, bedrooms, bath, all splendid. The owner was very helpful and communicative. I would go back in a second.

Hiking in the Area

Bedrock cottage: peace and quiet

Wonderful views over the Kenmare River. A great area for sitting outside, with picnic table. Big windows. Surrounded by trees, flowers and birds. Super efficient heating and Wi-Fi. Well-equipped kitchen. Quite remote, up a narrow lane, not suitable for driving back after an evening in the pub! Needs a little updating: curtains in bedrooms are very thin, letting in light in the mornings; a couple of floor lamps in the sitting area would make reading easier in the evenings; and a new sofa would be nice. Anyway we had a great stay - and if you like peace and quiet, and great views, this one’s for you!

Wonderful Cottage Above Kenmare Bay

We enjoyed an idyllic respite at Patrick’s cottage on a hill overlooking the bay. Bedrock Cottage was a perfect spot from which to take day trips to Beara and Kerry Peninsulas, Kenmare, Killarney, and more. The cottage is perched above a valley, where on our first evening we watched a dog herd cattle back to a nearby barn. The view was different every day; the changing colors in the water and various formations of mists between mountains and water invariably spectacular. Bees, birds, and butterflies…lovely flowers and foliage…the setting is truly bucolic. Patrick was very responsive to our questions. This was our first trip to Ireland, and we loved it all—from the music and pints in the pubs to the cow standing atop a boulder on a remote outcropping near Allihies. We hope to return soon!

Great place with amazing view on Kenmare bay

We spent a super week between Kenmare and Sneem, close to the Ring of Kerry. Very nice cottage, silent (no traffic) with a beautiful view over the Kenmare bay. Communication was very good, always quick/immediate. All necessary information was given prior to our arrival. No problems whatsoever - we would return whenever we should travel the same region in future.

Aussicht, Ruhe, Lage

Traumhafte Aussicht, ruhige Lage und dennoch gute Anbindung, wenn man den Killarney Nationalpark und den Ring of Kerry erkunden möchte. Uns hat der einfache gemütlich-rustikale Stil des Cottage gefallen. Hinweis für alle, die Wert auf eine große Glotze legen: Es gibt nur einen alten Röhren-TV. Die Fish-and-Chips-Bude nur wenige hundert Meter entfernt auf einem Parkplatz, ist zu empfehlen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Klare Empfehlung.

Hillside view of inlet is beautiful

Bedrock cottage was a great find. It has a beautiful view of the lough or inlet and mountains beyond. Short drive to Kenmare which has many pub and restaurant offerings. A quiet hillside location surrounded by wildflowers. Could use a more comfortable couch.

Cosy cottage with spectacular views

Perfectly situated to visit Kerry, this cosy cottage has everything you need for a fantastic break. The view over Kenmare bay is stunning whatever the weather. Patrick and Linda responded very quickly to any question we had. We highly recomend this property for a holiday in the west of Ireland!

Heimelig mit fantastischer Aussicht

Gut ausgestattetes Haus hoch über der Bucht von Kenmare mit tollem Blick nach Beara. Anfahrt etwas abenteurlich über enge Straßen. Trotz 2 maliger Verschiebung wegen COVID immer netter Kontakt mit dem Vermieter. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und würden wiederkommen.
