“This tiny Inn is definitely worth a visit! The new owners were very friendly and welcoming and the room was comfortable and very clean. The history of the building meant that the bar is tiny, but very welcoming - we spent a great evening drinking and chatting with locals. “This review considers the amazingly low price we paid (£40), compared to other availability in the area. We requested (and booked) a family room, on arrival, we were given two double rooms opposite each other. Not a problem for our 1 night stay, but it could have been. The rooms were warm and clean, and had been newly decorated, the bedding was clean and crisp. The breakfast was adequate, all self serve, tea, coffee, juices, cereals, packet meats and pastries. “Stayed in the Hadrian Suite which is a beautifully designed space, very impressive. Very warm welcome and friendly service throughout. Comfortable bar area downstairs with great dining options. Definitely recommend if you're visiting this stunning part of England – they will help with guidance for walks and dark skies star spotting etc. ”

“The place is an ancient inn in a wonderful spot of the countryside. Perfect for trips along Hadrian's wall or nice walks in the fields. No restaurants in the area except the inn's one, where it's possibile to eat until 8.30 pm. Excellent beer until late. The toilet area is really tiny, but the rooms are lovely.”
