I had a no smoking room. The front desk asked for $50 in "cash" as a deposit. What gives, they had my credit card. I asked for a receipt for the cash, the man at the desk showed me a stack of money, each with a piece of paper stapled to it, showing me all the people that had left deposits. I attempted to shower when i entered my room. It took the hot water awhile to come up to temperature and when it did, it was at best luke warm. Too cold to shower! And it's good that i didn't, the Room had no heat!!! I cranked the thermostat up to 80 degrees. The highest temperature registered by the thermometer all night was 61 degrees!!!! And get this, there were no blankets in the room. Only a sheet and cheap spread covered my bed. I slept in my street clothes, and because I am bald, wore a skull cap to avoid a head cold. On a positive note, the mattress was in a zippered cover when i checked for bed bugs!! And of course i checked out without a shower, the morning after as the temperature was in the 40's. I understand that I paid $64 on the cheap, but i didn't expect to be treated as though it were a "flop house". The staff, no personality. Checking in our out! The worst night of my life. If i were owner of this property i would take the risk of going to jail for burning the entire complex to the ground and making an insurance claim!!!
