Not impressed
Hotel is in serious need of a up grade. The bathroom door needs oiling. The lights all need the bugs removed. The bathroom floor was like ice! We were refused a second key. There were 2 of us and each with a different plan we were forced to change plans not knowing when the other would return to room. The dead bolt didn't work and door handle was not right.

Zowel meubilair als ook de matrassen lijken niet te zijn vervangen sinds de jaren ‘50. Opstaan is niet moeilijk, want door het ingezakte matras rol je vanzelf je bed uit. Vriendelijke ontvangst maakt het geheel nog een beetje draaglijk.

A comfortable motel
Evening Star Motel is an older motel, but still very clean, and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and kind. I will definitely return!

I booked this property out of necessity. I moved to the area for work and Evening Star was one of the few places with space that weekend. I looked through their website to look for their pet policy and did not see any specific policy at the time of booking. When I arrived, their sign-in has a statement declaring "All Pets Must Be Reported." So, I reported my cat to be respectful of their policy. The lady I was trying to check in with became incredibly rude when I informed her I had a small cat. She rudely stated "No pets under any circumstances." I recommend this property owner update their website to clearly inform potential clients of their FIRM No Pet Policy, so people like me (who are moving here for work) don't have to sleep in their cars like I did that first night!

Thank you for rating and reviewing us. It's stated on Expedia we don't allow animals, you may have missed it. And because we don't allow pets in our motel it was her duty to inform you, but that does not excuse her if she was indeed rude. We were informed you were going to drop off your cat at a friend or family members nearby and then coming to use the motel room, but never heard back from you. If you couldn't get your cat a place to stay there, we could've tried to help assist you a place to stay somewhere else. Just like we have for others.

The room was larger than most and I liked the layout especially the window in the shower . In the morning had a shower with the sun shining in. Very awesome ambiance.

The location was listed as beaver dell, which it was not. It was another hour away. That’s Expedia fault. If we weren’t so tired we would have kept driving.

Staff are amazing! They really care! Room was comfortable, had everything we needed. We wanted to do laundry as it was advertised but she said the machine broke :/ only thing about this place is it’s on the edge of town away from food, if you don’t have a car it’s extremely inconvenient.
