Super convenient to stay the night before if you have an early morning flight. The layout of the rooms is a bit odd to me; the bathroom and shower are sort of in an open format facing the room itself. Our room also reeked of smoke (despite there being a sign saying no smoking inside the room). Overall the free shuttle to the airport and ease of check in/check out beats everything else!

I loved the close distance to the airport. Big plus is the free shuttle bus which runs every 25 to 30 minutes. If you dont find the gate where the shuttle bus departs just ask airport staff for the departure gate of the Pullmann/Novotel Shuttle service and they'll help you with directions. The hotel itself was immaculate, rooms were super clean, bed was more than comfy. Highly recommend if you have a layover between flights and want accommodation close to the airport.

Great place to stay overnight, staff are super friendly and helpful, room is clean and quiet, walking distance to T1 and also have free shuttle bus to T2. Highly recommended and definitely would like to stay next time!

Very convenient to the airport. Staff were very helpful and room service was available despite the late hour. It’s right next door to The Pullman where the gym and pool are located which you can use if you’re a Novotel guest.

If you are arriving at terminal 2, look for another hotel. You are forced to take the hotel's shuttle bus because you can't walk from terminal 2 to the hotel. The shuttle bus is only on a 30 minute schedule, it is slow and crowded, and if its full you miss out. No taxi will pick you up to take you to the hotel because its inside the airport. You are better off going to another hotel outside the airport where you can get straight into a taxi when you leave the airport.

The hotel is connected with the airport with a bridge and is behind another hotel. It takes about 20 -25 minutes walk from terminal one to the lobby of the hotel. There is a shuttle running between the airport and the two hotels. Our flight arrived after midnight so therefore no shuttle service. Room was comfortable as we just wanted to get a few hours sleep before we headed to Guangzhou city center.

10 mins walk to Airport Terminal 1
The hotel is directly opposite Baiyun Airport Terminal 1. It is a non-smoking hotel. International flight is at Terminal 2. There is a shuttle service starting at 0500 I think, and at every XX25 and XX50 after. The shuttle goes from Novotel to Pullman and then to T2. For smokers, I recommend you take the 2nd floor room, near to RM520X. The smoking point is just on the bridge linking Pullman and Novotel, but the side on Pullman cannot be opened from the outside. The breakfast is so-so. If you can skip it, there are better options in the airport. It is about 10mins walk to Terminal 1. I dont remember you have to carry your luggage up any stairs, there are escalators. To walk to T1, you will need to go down to the ground floor of Novotel, walk to Pullman and go up to the 3rd floor and exit from there. You can see the airport from there onwards. Sorry i didnt take any pictures of the room but it was for 1 night stay facing the runway but it was quiet.

Between terminal 1 and terminal 2, so a convenient location if you have a layover. However, you DO need to go through immigration first - you will need to get a 24-hr "in transit visa". You have to go back through security and immigration to get your next flight. The bed was hard, the hotel lobby smelled of smoke, the room was small, there was on English channel on the TV, and the WiFi was between very slow and just unable to connect at all. Seeing as this was the only WiFi I could connect to in the whole airport, this was especially frustrating. So you get what you pay for - a cheap room in a cheap hotel so that you can stay one night and get your next flight. The bedsheets, shower etc were clean. So there was nothing awful.
