“We kept to ourselves because we didn't realize there was a shared common room upstairs, however we realized as well that it wasn't open all the time since I think the owners prefer to be home, which makes sense! The place was clean and comfortable, with a nice view of the school, which some may not like, but it was great to see the town "alive" and bustling, even when it was raining! The host was SUPER sweet but spoke very little English, so we mostly conversed with his daughter who was great...

“Internet was dismal. These rooms owned by private individuals have really outdated equipment and connection is really bad. I had to use my mobile hotspot to be able to work. The bathroom had been closed for a while so it had a stale smell that was borderline overwhelming. Once ventilated it was ok. Check in was not the best, again because the room is owned by someone else the girls at reception have to go through apparently different steps to check the guest in. “Overall an enjoyable place. The staff gave excellent recommendations for places to go. Have to call when you book so that someone is there to check you in, and they don’t speak English. So be ready for that. The rooms do not have AC but do have windows that can be opened & a fan. The bathroom was very tiny, but adequate.”

“I was unable to stay at the hotel. The front desk was unable to find my reservation. Hotels.com replied to my customer service request 12 hours after I messaged them. I was not refunded the rate I paid. I lost $107 dollars.”
