“The pool area and the surrounding gardens need some maintenance. When you first arrive to the property you see a disposal are where there is old furniture and cars no longer in use. Not a very welcoming first impression. The restaurant is excellent. It is great to offer free kayaking to guests.”

“Excellent hostess Lili - a wonderful Soul. The breakfasts provided delicious. The Davis Brook Retreat such a serene place for rejuvenation. We spent majority of our time on chaise lounges in the back yard listening to the song birds and wind chimes. A wee disappointment was the pool not really heated. Nowhere in website did it say pool not heated. Managed to get into pool once but not for long - rather cold. Did use hot tub once also. Overall a lovely stay. Will go again.”

“Beautiful property, gorgeous little room...was awesome. Loved being able to walk the waterfront, and everything was so convenient near by. Would definitely stay here again. ”

“When they say rustic they mean it. Hot tub is great but the rest of the property has seen better days. We could not turn the air conditioning off. Owner finally turned the breaker off. The fridge froze fruit and vegetables. For us, the main bed, despite being listed as orthopaedic, was inflexible. The second room and sofabed are slightly more flexible. Noone slept comfortably. Overall lack of lighting and dark wood walls makes it a very dim place to stay. ”
