This neighbourhood is extremely walk-able - everything you may wish to access is within a comfortable walking range. If you do have a car, there is some free on street parking - just make sure to abide by the signs. If you prefer transit, simply hop on the main route on Spring Garden and away you go!

My husband loved this place…keyless and clean…the area was amazing so close to all amenities such as groceries, coffee shops, restaurants and more…all within walking distance…would stay here again and highly recommend!

This property is centrally located and close to all amenities and attractions. We did find the property as listed but the exterior and entrance are rundown. More towels would be appreciated especially as the humidity prevents the only two from drying properly. Not sure we would return to this unit.

Nice, private stay in downtown Halifax. Just a few blocks away from sights, activities, and restaurants. Check-in was seamless, the apartment has any amenities you could want and expect from a solo apartment. Parking in downtown Halifax can be a little tricky but that is no fault of the host. They give you great instructions for finding parking. Very clean and well set up to make you feel at home. Definitely recommend

We decided to take a leap of faith and book this property because it is so central to major areas and is so walkable to restaurants, banks, and grocery stores. You have to go to the back to get to the basement suite and you get the whole suite to yourself. Spacious with a living room, bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom. They have laundry around the front of the building that was free. We did laundry twice during our stay. Basically the unit is filled with ikea furniture. And ikea double bed, an ikea couch, ikea vanity. The fan was broken and the property manager was Swift to come and discard the fan. He set up an air conditioner for us which was helpful. The only qualm I have about the place is they have a floating shelf right beside the bed that my husband face planted into during the night. The back is a bit unkept and you need to watch your step getting into the unit. A few Beatles that I haven’t seen before or daddy long leg spiders were noted every once in a while but harmless. Overall for the price, the location, etc. it was worth it. My husband and I watched a few movies in the evening on the couch with multiple choices of streaming services. We didn’t rent a car so the fact that it was so walkable and buses are easy to access and use, it helped us feel like a local. We loved our stay.

We picked this place for its location which is great relative to Spring Garden road and the Superstore on Barrington. The property itself could use some work especially the entrance which isn’t very welcoming at all. At the rear of of an unkempt yard. Hopefully the owners will address this in the future? Also, because this a basement unit it, gets extremely humid in the space, especially if there’s a been a ton of rain…almost unbearable. There is a dehumidifier which was full when we arrived and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned out for a while. The bed is rather small (double) and wouldn’t reccomend for couples especially if its been hot and humid. We also picked this unit because we thought we’d be able do some laundry during our stay. We wonder if the property manager has stayed here because there is no access to laundry facilities on the upper floor that we could say and were told. Much better instructions need to be provided as I suspect others will choose based on laundry facilities as well. On street parking is hit and miss. You have to rely on luck to find a spot near the building. On the positive, the unit is relatively clean and you have access to smart TV programming ( Netflix, Youtube, Prime, etc) which you don’t get at the hotels. The kitchen is adequate and comes in very handy if you don’t want to eat out all the time. I would guess there are nicer units in the area for a similar price but you may not find many this close to Spring Garden.
