The unit itself was clean and tidy and organized the front door handle to the building is massive and almost fell off every time I went to open and close the door, knobs in the shower fixtures and handles were falling off and the hot tub doesn't have much water pressure so it takes an incredibly long time to fill.. Property all in all was nice on a quiet street and the place is very clean, the keypad door handles were an absolute pain and always stopped working. All in all this is a great place but for the money you'd really like it to look and function like the photos depict it's in need of a refresh. The young lady that maintains the property was very nice and pleasant to deal with

The building itself was lovely, and the decor was beautiful. We stayed in the Sunrise suite and were surprised at JUST how how open the door plan was - there was no partition whatsoever between bedroom and bathroom, and had a full view of toilet and shower from our bed. This would be a lovely room for a single person, but an awkward setup for two people, as there was no privacy for bathroom use. The kitchen and shared space was comfortable and beautifully designed with lots of plants and eclectic decor. The continental breakfast and plate of complimentary snacks throughout the day was great, but there was only enough coffee for 2 people (2 coffee pods, despite having 6 people booked in while we were there), which led us to spending less time at the hotel than planned. We also had issues with the air conditioner, which was broken. When we notified the staff, no offer to look at and/or attempt to fix the unit was made, and we were advised to use a fan provided in the room. Unfortunately, the fan was dusty and very noisy, and did little to decrease the heat of the room. Overall, the stay was alright, but increased privacy

The hot tub was lovely. There was no continental breakfast out like they said in the description. The AC did not work in our room so it was quite hot. Also based on the layout of the house all the light from the kitchen poured into our room at night even with the blinds down. We were able to shut off the kitchen light but other guests kept turning it back on.

We were fortunate enough to get the penthouse, which was beautiful. We enjoyed the massive jetted tub right in our own room, which was so spacious and comfortable. The only thing that could be improved was the breakfast, but would stay here again!

The windows or doors have improper seals, so our night was very loud from the wind whistles. The floor was not bad, but could have been more clean. I had to wipe out the bathtub and get rid of previous users hair. Location is good. Staff are friendly Just needs a little bit of TLC and a bit of help when it comes to cleaning between users

For the dollar value, off season rate, it was a great deal. At first glance it is beautiful and the room was impressive with all its lights lit up. But the shock and awe stops there. It was freezing cold, the temperature was 65 degrees not just in the room but in the main common areas as well. I turned on the heat pump, and the fireplace and after an hour I had to call and as for the heat to be turned up. The heat pump was installed in the worst place, with a wall opposite it about 2 feet away, so the heat would only heat up that tiny space and shut off no matter how warm you set it. The fireplace was more for show than actual heat because it didn’t give off much warmth. All the doors stuck so you had to push and pull them hard and that meant you heard doors banging a lot from the other rooms. The jacuzzi took absolutely forever to fill because you filled it from the handheld shower head. The sauna never heated past 80 degrees and that took 5 hours to get up to there. I really didn’t like that there was no bathroom door so you had no privacy at all. I opened a drawer to look for a hair dryer and found it full of garbage left from a previous guest. In the morning the continental breakfast wasn’t set out, was ordered and confirmed in a previous text, so I texted wondering where we could find it. We ended up checking out and going to a restaurant, but did receive a response saying she had a flat tire and was sorry about my inconvenience. No text message letting me know.

Very accommodating hosts! Beautiful home and breakfast was lovely. Depending on who you're staying with, the set up in the sunrise suite is a little odd with the open washroom, probably best for someone staying on their own.

The place was completely trashed as if a frat party was hosted at the location. I had personal items stolen and had other guests try to break into my room. This was by far the worst stay that I have ever experienced. The owner issued a partial refund for the stay, so it still cost me several hundred dollars to make a 3 hour trip each way only to have my stuff stolen and then return home. Terrible accommodation and terrible customer service. Strongly recommend that visitors look elsewhere.

Leaking ceiling, some small fixes really could put the esthetics over this moon ie stains. Towels by doors for leaks. Cleaner was still cleaning our room and bringing things in after our check in time. We got late check out approved arranged for pick up and then got told we had to be out even though we already had the approval. Miss communication and honestly lack of communication and difficulties with quick contact with staff this stay could have been perfect with some professionalism. End of drive way wasn't plowed. We ended up having to park in a parkade U mins away and ubering over and back.

I stayed a year ago and it was 10/10. This time was not good. There are main doors broken, there use to be a hostess to tell you where to go and where things, there no longer is. All the doors were open when we got there to everyone’s “private” rooms. The hottub was so gross I found so much hair in it, and it smelled so musty I don’t know the last time it was cleaned. It’s sooo dirty, every counter in the shared areas, and my side table in my room. There was supposed to be a breakfast which we never got, there was no one there, just the three guests and that didn’t make me feel good; I liked the hostess for an extra level of safety. I will not be back. The difference of service from this time and last time is night and day.

I recently stayed at The Halifax Rooftop Home and can see the vision behind the space. It’s modern, amenity‑focused, and visually impressive. The hot tub, steam shower, decor, and overall futuristic design were standout features, and the space is surprisingly large for a penthouse-style room. However, several comfort and practicality issues affected the stay. The biggest problem was the bed. The memory foam mattress sank so deeply that it felt like a king‑size cot on a loose, squeaky metal frame. By morning, my back and hips were sore. The room has a lot of built‑in tech, but the instructions weren’t clear. We spent a lot of time figuring out the blinds, remotes, and other systems. The hot tub was great once running, but the only water source is a slow waterfall-style shower head. The sauna warmed slightly but never reached a true sauna temperature. A few basics were missing: only one garbage can, no tissues, and a sign asking guests to use makeup wipes even though none were provided. The toilet is mounted unusually high. Checkout is listed as 10am, though the owner was gracious in allowing us to stay until 11am. The hot tub, steam shower, decor, fireplace heating, and storage were genuinely enjoyable, but clearer instructions and a better bed would make this a much stronger stay.
