My personal opinion:
The staff was very friendly and welcoming at Holis hotel, with fresh warm chocolate chip cookies upon arrival. And the foyer area is clean and classy looking.
The room layout is really cool, the bed and couch was very comfortable. The windows aren’t the best at keeping the cold winter draft out, which I imagine is why they have very thick curtains to help with that. Also the wall under the window in my room was peeling away from what looked like water damage.
The bathroom is spacious and clean with a great shower, rainfall shower head and can easily fit 2 people without feeling crowded.
You can hear the noise from the street as if you were sitting outside but , it is a downtown hotel.
The pool was really dirty despite not being busy, I got out within a few minutes of being in the water. I did not go in the hot after that experience.
No parking on site but there is a large parking garage about 300 feet so not far at all. Or you could pay 35$ for valet parking.
No continental breakfast was a bit of let down but they do have free coffee. For a downtown hotel it was priced a bit cheaper than most other places. So if you’re looking to save a few bucks and not planning on swimming or getting complementary breakfast items then maybe this is an OK place to consider. It is very easy to get to a large variety of great restaurants and casino, all walking distance within 15 minutes. And the waterfront is very close as well
