“Best ever farm stay and experience. Outstanding staff, food and chef that are well worth the cost. Unexpectedly good dormitory sleeping. Great hot showers are everywhere. Many activities that are well guided and some that are totally sublime that you can do on your own which cost nothing extra. Great Canyonside exploring and waterfalls to chase. Personal transportation to and from the Egilsstadirr airport was a great experience in itself. Will return because the place is magical.”

“Camera spaziosa e pulita, bagno molto confortevole, letto comodo, accessoriata ompletamente, da bollitore, cialde caffè, frigorifero, televisione, e altro. Personale disponibilissimo (abbiamo chiamato per un problema all'apertura della porta ed il responsabile è arrivato un pochissimi minuti). A pochi passi, c'è un pub ristorante ottimo per cenare senza spendere le solite cifre tipiche islandesi. Ottimissima esperienza.”

“Goed ingericht huis, alles is aanwezig. Voldoende pannen hier. Bedden zijn goed. Mooi uitzicht. Lampen ipv peertjes hadden wij wat mooier gevonden. Thermostaatkraan douche werkt helaas niet goed en het is een kleine cabine, dus je kon er niet onderuit springen als het water opeens heel heet of juist koud was.”

The position of this new managed - family owned hotel is strategic for Studlagil (the basalt canyon) and on the way that goes from Egilsstadir to the Hverir Geothermal Area/Namafjall Hike and the Northwestern area of Iceland. The position is very quiet, ideal to see the northern lights without the light pollution of the cities. We were so lucky to see an Arctic Fox few minutes before arriving at the hotel.
