We rent out our charming 85-square-meter vacation apartment on the first floor of an older cottage on the edge of the forest in Halsbach.
A special highlight is the wood carvings found throughout the apartment. All of the intricate woodwork was lovingly handcrafted by my uncle over countless hours, lending the rooms a very special, personal atmosphere. Anyone who appreciates wood, craftsmanship, unique touches, and a warm atmosphere will immediately feel at home here.
The living room features beautiful carvings on the ceilings, as well as carved furniture and a few lovingly placed religious figurines that make the room truly unique.
From here, you have direct access to the sunroom and the small garden with a terrace. Both will be available to our guests starting at the end of June 2026.
The outdoor area will be gradually renovated and further beautified over the course of the summer and fall.
The bedroom features a carved bed and a matching wardrobe, highlighting the apartment’s special, rustic charm.
The apartment has a built-in kitchen with a refrigerator, where you’ll find everything you need for your stay. The cabinets are fully stocked with dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, and kitchen accessories.
Since this is an older house, not everything is perfect, of course. Here and there, you’ll notice small signs of wear—such as a chipped tile, small cracks, or age-related wear and tear.
The vacation rental is generally designed for two people, as it has only one bedroom with a bed (160 × 200 cm).
However, since the living room is large enough, there is also the option of sleeping either on a fold-out bed or on the large couch.
We charge a small additional fee per person for extra guests.
Please note, however, that the living room cannot be completely darkened and is directly adjacent to the open kitchen.
The location on the edge of the forest invites you to take beautiful walks and enjoy peaceful moments in nature—perfect for unwinding, taking a deep breath, and simply enjoying yourself.
At the same time, you can reach many beautiful destinations in no time. The historic town of Burghausen, home to the world’s longest castle, is only about 14 km away, and the well-known pilgrimage site of Altötting is about 16 km away. Especially during Advent, it’s worth visiting the atmospheric Halsbach Forest Christmas Market, which takes place just a few kilometers away. If you’re looking for a bustling atmosphere, numerous shops, and a wide range of recreational activities, this isn’t quite the right place for you. Our vacation rental is located in a quiet, small village with just a few houses. Shopping and other amenities are not accessible without a car—but in return, you’ll enjoy absolute peace, nature, and relaxation far away from the stress of everyday life.
A free parking space right next to the house is, of course, available to our guests.
To protect the house and our guests, there is a security camera outside near the entrance and parking lot.
Dogs are warmly welcome at Haus Raphael in Halsbach. Please indicate when booking whether you’ll be traveling with your four-legged friend.
We charge a fee of 10 € per night per dog. Please select this option when booking. If you plan to arrive with more than two dogs, please contact us in advance to coordinate this.
A place for people and animals who love something special and seek peace and quiet in nature.
