“We were made very welcome by Wendy and Lawrence on our arrival. We sat outside in the sunny garden with a mug of tea and a caramel bar. We had the entire dining room to ourselves. There was a great selection of cereals available and the traditional breakfast was delicious. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom spacious. ”

We had a delightful hot breakfast with a great selection of freshly prepared ingredients. Pleasant garden surroundings great to walk around and explore. Ample on-site parking too. “This hotel provided a reasonably sized and comfortable room. The bathroom, although a bit small, was well-organized, making it convenient for guests. The breakfast was excellent value for money, offering a variety of hot food options. However, the bathroom had a very unpleasant smell that persisted throughout our entire stay of six days. I suspect it was coming from the shower curtain fabric or the sewer line. Additionally, the bathtowels were not made of cotton.”

“This is a converted coaching inn at the junction of a few roads. Easy parking, good breakfasts and dinners, plenty of character. A bit of a downside if you’re a light sleeper with the traffic and kitchen exhaust system. Otherwise, easy place to stay.”

“Excellent place to stay with dogs as you are self contained with an area to walk them away from the main road. Facilities good, we had a lovely garden cottage - only downside are the doors are built for hobbits (I’m a little over 5ft and had no issues, 6ft + hubby cracked his head once…”
