A Hidden Gem with World-Class Service – My Favorite Hotel Anywhere
I rarely write reviews, and even less so with this level of enthusiasm—but the GM Premium Hotel in Hanoi has truly earned it.
I’ve had the privilege of staying in some of the most luxurious hotels around the world—from the Fairmont to the Four Seasons and the Ritz-Carlton. Yet, none have left the mark that this boutique hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter has.
The location is vibrant, bustling, and deeply authentic—right in the heart of the Old Quarter. Yes, the area can be a bit chaotic, with its maze of street vendors, cafés, and shops—but that’s part of its charm. And best of all, it’s incredibly walkable, placing you within minutes of everything Hanoi has to offer.
Now, to the heart of my review: the service. This is, hands down, the best service I’ve ever experienced anywhere in the world. From the moment I arrived until the day I left, I felt like I was the only guest in the hotel. Every detail was cared for, every request anticipated.
A very special thank you to Lily—elegant, attentive, and genuinely kind. She went above and beyond every single day, making my stay feel not just comfortable, but truly personal. And she wasn’t alone. The entire staff is simply exceptional. Polished, thoughtful, and gracious in every interaction. Honestly, the Ritz and the Four Seasons could take notes here—this is what five-star service looks like.
