“I paid full board including the evening meals as a birthday treat for my wife, which was quite a bit extra, but at the end of our stay they charged me again for dinners. The receptionist said that becouse I had not booked directly through them I was not entitled to do this, which ment paying twice for the meals, and that I was misinformed by the waitress who had said that the meals would be deducted from my final bill. The staff where very nice but didn't seem to know much about this situation...

We went for lunch and had to ask firstly to order drinks and then again to order food. Unfortunately the burgers were way over cooked and the waiter had no incling that this might not be acceptable. “A basic hotel set in lovely, peaceful grounds. The rooms could do with updating, but for a three-star hotel, they were as expected. I didn’t book breakfast, and unfortunately, the Sunday roast didn’t look very appealing. I stayed for four nights while visiting family, and the location was quiet and pleasant. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. However, housekeeping didn’t clean our room once during our stay. When we asked for it to be cleaned, the cleaner said she would, but instead left...
