  • Bay Haven in Harpswell. This beautiful, open concept home is awaiting your arrival. We welcome you to unwind on the expansive deck overlooking the water. Smell the ocean and listen to the waves lapping the shore while laying in the hammock. Enjoy your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine while watching the water. Go for a morning swim or cool off from the afternoon sun with a dip in the bay. Bring a kayak or rent one for your stay, you can adventure right from the front the yard. You will have access to a Beach and mooring if requested.

    Please note this property does NOT allow pets.

    Bay Haven has a first floor primary bedroom with King bed and bath. Upstairs you will find a second bedroom with king bed, please note this bedroom is "open loft concept" it "looks down" over the Livingroom. The third bedroom has a queen size bed. There is also a full bathroom on the second floor. All bed linens and towels are provided.

    Fully appointed kitchen with appliances and cookware, propane grill and outdoor lobster cooker have you ready to cook up local fare at any time of day. Enjoy dining inside or out on the deck. If you're on vacation from cooking enjoy one of Harpswell's many restaurants. Eat in or a take-out meal to eat at home. Afterwards, make sure you stop into one of Harpswell's two ice cream shops to finish off your dining experience. You can't go wrong choices in Harpswell or nearby Brunswick, there is truly something for every palate.

    A few local Harpswell restaurants we recommend within a 20-minute drive: Erica's Seafood, Dolphin Restaurant and Marina, Pammy's Ice Cream, Uncle Pete's Community Market, Morse's, Island Candy Company (candy and ice cream), Salt Cod Cafe, Cook's Lobster & Ale House, Sundrenched and Bailey Island General Store (BIGS). Please confirm hours before arrival for seasonal days and hours.

    Freeport 19 Miles (30 minutes)
    Portland Jetport 42 miles (55 minutes)
    Boothbay Harbor 42 miles (1 Hr.)

    PLEASE NOTE there is a second rental on the property, over the garage. Please inquire if you need additional accommodations.

Beautiful location with great views of the water and expansive front porch with Adirondack chairs. Visited the local attractions like the Giant Stair Case, Lands End, sail boat trip, Maine Maritime Museum, Popham Beach. David and Mary, property managers, were very responsive to any of our requests.

Weekend in Maine

Great vacation spot. We came in from Wednesday through Saturday. Quick drive to town for dinner, groceries, etc. We only wish it was a bit warmer to be able to enjoy the deck and hammock outside. Loved this house!

We loved the house and location! We felt like the downstairs carpet was in pretty bad shape and the downstairs king comforter should have been retired a long time ago, the code to the lockbox that we were provided was incorrect but we were able to enter through an unlocked door.No trash bags could be found and the refrigerator was extremely loud (dying fan?) but all in all, we had a wonderful, relaxing stay with incredible views!

THE GOOD: The location was lovely, and sunrise views from porch the best. Easy access to charming local attractions and some great eateries. House was very spacious and clean, and location was quiet and mostly private. Beds were very comfortable and appeared to be fairly new. Plenty of towels, and lots of kitchen goods so that it is easy to cook meals at the house and dine either at the table inside or the picnic table positioned outside on the large front porch. Great having a washer and dryer available for use during our stay.THE NOT AS GOOD: Shared driveway parking with a long term renter, who occupied an apartment over the attached garage. He was very nice, but we should have been informed he would be on-site during our stay. The downstairs master bathroom was very nice, but upstairs bathroom shower had no pressure and sometimes would trickle to nothing within minutes of your getting in the shower. While the house was spacious, the furnishings were extremely dated. No bedside tables in upstairs bedrooms. No chairs or seating in any of the bedrooms.
