Hotel LGBTQIA+ a Hartlepool

“Staff were great, the hotel looked stunning and the grounds were amazing. The breakfast was delicious too. The room we had was in the attic so I kept hitting my head, the main light in the room was above the doorway which was around a corner so didn’t really help at all. There was water and hair in the bottom of the shower when we arrived as if someone had only just had a shower. There were patches of damp in the room around the window and on the ceiling.”

“Location was perfect. 4 min walk from train station and close to all shops, bars and restaurants. Bar in hotel was first class with extremely helpful staff who were always very friendly. Stayed during heatwave so the lack of air con, or a window that would open, were disappointing. Standing fan in room helped but sometimes just blew hot air around. Room in loft so was very hot. Decor/furniture very basic and dated but bed very comfortable. Bathroom needs some tlc - position of shower in bath...

“Unfortunately this property has passed its heyday which is a shame as the potential is there. If you are looking for a relaxing break forget it as it is geared towards hen weekends/ spa breaks and multiple weddings. Property maintenance is sadly lacking everything looks tired and rundown. The drawer in our bedside cabinet would not close and the shower barely clung onto the wall. Suggest requesting a room somewhere quiet if there is such an area. “We had a good stay at Premier Inn Durham North overall. When we arrived, there was an issue with our booking payment. We had already paid through Expedia, but at reception we were initially told that the payment had not gone through and that we would need to pay the full amount again. The receptionist was not very friendly at first and said that this was not their problem, which felt quite stressful after a long journey.
