Whether you’re gathering family from near and far, hosting a restorative wellness retreat, or simply carving out time with friends, Verdant Rise has been designed with one purpose in mind: to help you pause, breathe deeply, and create memories you’ll treasure long after your stay.

Picture mornings that begin with yoga on the lawn and coffee brewed fresh from the bean-to-cup machine. Afternoons filled with walks, laughter, and a long soak in the hot tub. Evenings where you gather around the fire or under starlit skies with a shared meal cooked in the outdoor kitchen. Whether you’re here to reconnect with nature, recharge your spirit, or celebrate with loved ones, Verdant Rise is more than just a place to stay — it’s a setting for moments that matter.

KITCHEN AND LIVING AREA
Step inside to discover a light-filled open-plan living, dining, and kitchen space at the heart of the home. Here, floor-to-ceiling bi-fold doors open onto the garden, blending indoor and outdoor living. Snuggle up by the log burner with a glass of wine after a countryside walk, share long dinners around the dining table, or throw open the doors on a sunny day to let fresh country air fill the space.
The kitchen is a chef’s dream, with a double oven, induction hob, bean-to-cup coffee machine, dishwasher, and even a wine cellar to keep your favourite bottles perfectly chilled. Whether you’re cooking up a Sunday roast, trying your hand at local produce from nearby farm shops, or hiring in a private chef, this space makes entertaining effortless.

SLEEPING AREA
Verdant Rise sleeps up to ten guests across five beautifully appointed bedrooms, with additional flexibility for two more guests (twelve in total) on comfortable sofa beds. Three of the bedrooms feature zip-and-link beds, meaning they can be set up as king beds or twins to suit your group’s needs.
The master suite is a retreat of its own: a super king bed, walk-in wardrobe, spa-style en suite, and even a cozy office nook if you need to catch up on work during your stay. A sofa bed here offers additional sleeping space, making it ideal for families with little ones. Each bedroom is thoughtfully designed to ensure a restful night’s sleep, with soft linens, calming colours, and quiet surroundings.

The kitchen and gas BBQ invite alfresco dining, while the spacious lawn is perfect for yoga sessions, group games, or simply enjoying the sunset with a glass of wine in hand.
While you may be tempted to spend every moment at the house, the local area offers endless opportunities for adventure. Wander straight from the doorstep onto peaceful walking and cycling routes, or venture into the South Downs National Park for breathtaking landscapes.
Foodies and wine lovers will be delighted to find some of Sussex’s most celebrated vineyards just minutes away. Farm shops brim with fresh local produce, while luxury spas and golf courses are within easy reach. For a change of pace, the cultural buzz of Brighton’s seafront is just a 20-minute drive away, and London is under an hour by train.

Every aspect of Verdant Rise has been designed with guest comfort in mind. The home is fully air-conditioned, features a utility room with washer and dryer, and offers secure bike storage for those keen to explore the countryside on two wheels. There’s parking for four or more cars, as well as an EV charger (available to pre-book).

Hot Tub Policy

We’re pleased to provide a hot tub for your enjoyment during your stay. To ensure everyone’s safety, comfort, and continued enjoyment, please take a few moments to read and follow this policy. These guidelines help us meet UK health and safety standards and keep the hot tub in excellent condition.

Usage Guidelines
Hours of Use: 8:00am to 10:00pm – please keep noise to a minimum out of respect for neighbours.


Supervision: Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times. No children under 5 are permitted in the hot tub due to health risks.


Showering: Please shower before use to remove lotions, fake tan, deodorant, and makeup, as these can affect water hygiene and damage the filters.


Time Limit: Limit each session to 15–20 minutes. Prolonged use can lead to dizziness or overheating.


Food & Drink: No glass or crockery near the hot tub. Plastic cups only. Avoid alcohol when using the hot tub, as it can increase the risk of accidents.



Health & Safety
Do not use the hot tub if you are pregnant, have heart conditions, or are under the influence of alcohol or drugs without first consulting a medical professional.


Enter and exit the tub slowly and carefully to avoid slips or falls.


Do not use electrical items near the water (phones, speakers, hairdryers, etc.).


Never submerge your head or engage in rough play.


Maintenance & Water Care
The hot tub is emptied, cleaned, refilled, and sanitised after each stay, so it’s ready and safe for your arrival.


For bookings longer than 7 nights, full instructions on hot tub care will be provided to help you maintain water quality during your stay.


A monthly maintenance check takes place around the 15th of each month. You will be notified in advance when Craig, our trusted maintenance representative, is scheduled to attend. His visit will be as discreet and non-disruptive as possible.


Please do not attempt to empty the hot tub. If you believe the water needs attention, contact us and we’ll assist you promptly.


Please Do Not:
Add any soaps, bubbles, or oils to the water – these damage the filters and cause excessive foaming.


Sit or stand on the cover. Always replace the lid after use to retain heat and keep the tub clean.


Use fake tan or heavy cosmetics before entering.


Damage & Excess Cleaning
Any damage or excessive contamination (e.g. from fake tan, glass breakage, or food waste) that requires draining, refilling, or professional cleaning may result in a deduction from your damage deposit.

Pet Policy:

Pets are not allowed on any of the soft furnishings throughout the
property.
Pets are not allowed to urinate on any of the carpets or soft furnishings as this causes
permanent stains and damage.
I f dogs gets wet on a walk, they will be thoroughly dried on arrival home.
Dogs should not be left alone in the property for more than 4 hours at a time. Guests must
ensure that their dogs will not cause damage to the property if they are left unsupervised.
Any damage caused at the property as a result of your pet, will be chargeable from the
damage deposit.
Pets are left in a secure place at night during sleeping hours where they are happy and not
distressed causing harm to the dog or damage to the property.
All guests are responsible for their pets in accordance with the Animal Welfare Act.
All pets kept at the property must be vaccinated and regularly treated for fleas and worms (if
appropriate).
Guests are responsible for keeping all areas of the property clean and free from parasites,
such as fleas.
Guests must ensure their pets do not cause a nuisance to neighbours. This includes
excessive noise. Dogs must be kept under control and on a lead in any public places,
communal areas and walkways.
Pets must not be allowed to foul inside the property. Any pet faeces must be removed
immediately from the garden or outside areas and disposed of safely and hygienically.
Any animal listed in the schedule of the Dangerous Wild Animals Act 1976 may not be kept
at the property.
Any dog listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 may not be kept at the property with the
exception of dogs registered on the Index of Exempted Dogs.
