Wonderful ceanfront condo with ocean views, pool, & central AC

  • Whale Watch is a beautiful, top-floor, two-bedroom, two-bathroom, oceanfront condo located in the contemporary Durant Station Condominiums in Hatteras Village. The home is complete with a private oceanfront deck and fantastic views. View the beach from Hatteras Inlet to the point at Buxton! Enjoy direct beach access via the community boardwalk, a well-equipped kitchen with solid-surface counters, DirecTV with HBO, a DVR, DVD players, and a sound-side deck for viewing spectacular sunsets. On the ground level, you'll find a large fish-cleaning station, grills, and picnic tables.

Just grab a luggage cart from the first-floor coin-operated laundry facility and roll your luggage to your condo door. Additional community amenities include high-speed internet and free WiFi, a community pool (available May to Labor Day), a hot tub (available from April to November), and an outdoor shower. The Durant Station Community Center is topped by the historic tower from the original Durant Lifesaving Station. This is the ideal location for corporate meetings, wedding parties, or for enjoying the space with family and friends. This area boasts a first-floor sitting room with a large flatscreen TV, an electric fireplace (available November to March), and an upper-level game room with a pool table and a complete kitchen.

    THINGS TO KNOW
    You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking, which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check-in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.
    This home has access to a community pool, the community pools in our area are typically open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Community pools are operated at the discretion of the community HOA so the availability schedule may be subject to change without notice.

We love staying on Hatteras Island in May and September/October. We don't need a boardwalk or exciting activities. We only want to enjoy the beach.

Great place!

Everything was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our week. Plenty of dishes and pot/pans to cook in the condo. Great pool and beach access. We loved the lockers on the ground floor to keep our beach gear.

Excellent choice

Condo has a gorgeous view of ocean, has a well stocked kitchen and plenty of room. It’s easy sitting on the balcony all day soaking up the sun with the ocean view and sound of waves!

February Anniversary

Whale watch was clean, easily accessible via car and elevator. The view was awesome. The only thing it needed was an extra set of towels and wash clothes. It was a really nice place.

What's not to love...

Whale Watch is a beautiful condo. One of my favorites, for sure. It's comfortable and clean and kitchen in well stocked. The views from the deck are priceless. We always enjoy our trips to Hatteras. But this stay was extra special. We will definitely be back.

Amazing!

We had never been to the OBX and had no clue where to stay and stumbled upon this condo. It was perfect! Loved the location. Beaches were not crowded at all. After doing some research we found plenty of places to have dinner. Condo was super clean, views were amazing. Perfect for our vacation! We will definitely be back :)

Amazing Views

We really enjoyed our stay at Whale Watch. This was our fifth time staying at Durant Station. This condo along with the other two have all been wonderful experiences. The views are beautiful and sunsets are breathtaking. It is very well equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. We loved waking up in the morning, and the first thing we saw was the blue ocean waves. We will definitely be back!

Whale Watch has SO much to love! The master bedroom on the ocean side, a large comfortable deck for sun and moon rise, the views and sounds of the ocean's times and tides and all the amenities you'll need! This was our 2nd visit and we WILL BE BACK!

Amazing views

We love the views and location of this condo unit! It is well appointed and had everything we needed. With 4 adults, the seating in the living area was a bit tight. We only felt it on rainy days. The pool and access to the beach make this a great place to enjoy Hatteras Island!
