“Room was very clean and comfortable. Never heard any noise from the bar downstairs. Breakfast was cooked to order so fresh and hot. All staff very friendly nothing was a problem for them. Bar patrons were friendly and welcoming”

“The property was undergoing a makeover, new carpets etc and was a little bit untidy in areas. Nonetheless to be expected during contractors working there. The staff, especially the manager, were extremely helpful and pleasant.”

“We loved being out in the beautiful countryside in this sweet croft cottage. Our host was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. “Such a beautiful house, and our room was fantastic. We stayed one night and the breakfast was delicious. No problem parking; the grounds were well kept. Jodi welcomed us, and even helped with dinner reservations. I loved the bathrobe touch, and the room was super cute. The price was a bit high, but we only stayed one night, so no discount for multiple nights . We really liked our short stay, and how close it was to walking to a restaurant.”

David, the owner, was charming and told us all about the history of the castle and the region. He has gone to great lengths to create a warm, cozy, authentic castle experience!
