Family Trip
Stayed here during our family reunion weekend with our adult children and had a wonderful time. The house was exactly as pictured and was clean. It was nice to have a whole house to stay in rather than hotel rooms. This provided us time to play games and enjoy each other's company. We will definitely stay here again!

Super cute house. We instantly felt like we were at home.
We love this house. It was very comfortable and had all of the essentials we needed to make our stay a relaxing and comfortable home away from home. I highly recommend this rental. Great communication from the owner. Easy access to the highways but it was quiet at the house. The screened porch allowed us to enjoy the warm weather despite the unusual storms that hit during our stay. We hope to stay here again the next time we come to visit family.

Perfect Charmer
This place was truly a charmer. It won't be my last stay. I visit family in Hazard area and this is the first time ever it has felt like a vacation. It was so peaceful! Highly recommend. Super sweet decor and it has real charm.

Sweet and Comfy
I can’t say enough about Davida’s hospitality and her lovely home at the top of the hill. Upon arrival, we found this ‘charmer’ to be immaculate (!), as well as beautifully and artfully decorated with her creative and personal touches everywhere. I was expecting a charming cottage but was pleasantly surprised at how spacious it was. It offered privacy, as well as multiple spaces for groups to gather, especially the gorgeous screened-in back deck, which is a rare gift in rental homes. (With a porch swing, which I love!) Four of us came to Hazard so that we could visit and attend an important event at nearby Hindman Settlement School in Hindman. Tragically, the entire area was hit by the worst flooding it had ever seen while we were there. This sweet house in Hazard withstood the storm, of course, and we were very comfortable in the “small town charmer.” It’s a good thing too, that it was so cozy there, because our events were naturally canceled, and we stayed inside most of the time. Although she had other properties to look after during this emergency situation, Davida was always available to answer any questions and meet any needs we had. She is a wonderful host! I accidentally left an item behind and she was kind enough to mail it to me! We love the area and are offering prayers for recovery, reconstruction, and healing, as well as monetary donations to several of the area charities. Thank you, Davida, and we hope to stay in your home again next year.

The home could be really nice but needs updated. Old mattresses and needs a good cleaning crew. For a large party it would be really good. Owner very nice and accommodating though. Just needs a make over.

Homey and safe
We traveled to Hazard, KY with just ourselves and two grown sons. We were looking for a Covid safe place to recharge after a hard day of work on the family "home place". This is a well kept place in a quiet neighborhood at the top of a hill. The views of autumn hills from the back deck off the master bedroom were beautiful. Only wish there was one more bathroom but found most everything we needed to enjoy our stay there. The hostess was extremely communicative and flexible to meet our needs.

Cozy & charming home for a family
We visited just after Thanksgiving and really enjoyed it. Internet and TV’s kept everyone happy when we had downtime. The neighborhood is neat. We stopped in at the Read Spotted Newt and drove up to see La Citadelle. Everything you need for a long or short stay!

Perfect Little Charmer
We had a wonderful stay at this little Charmer. At one point we had 6 ladies and 1 gentlemen. Yes only one bathroom, but it was not a problem. Great towels, very clean and the owner was very accommodating. Enjoyed sitting on the back porch having our chats while sipping coffee. Loved the swing and the sounds of nature. We would definitely stay again.

Heavenly Haven In Hazard!!!!
We enjoyed our stay very much. Quiet the haven for the two of us. The house is lovely(heavenly). Just like the photos. We did not have any problems. Everything you should need is supplied. We had a question and the hostess was quick to answer. We definitely will be back and would recommend the “Small Town Charmer” to everyone. Love, love, loved it.

Truly a Charmer
Stayed here to attend a family event. It was so comfortable and homey. The location was great and near everything. We absolutely loved sitting out on the back porch and had breakfast every morning there. Everything was just so cute and convenient and the hostess was very welcoming. Charming experience
My family and I stayed here while looking at land in the area to purchase. This truly is a charming place to stay. It was very clean and the host was easy to contact and she answered questions right away. The neighborhood is nice with friendly neighbors who waved hello to us. Beautiful and relaxing
We loved our stay here. Davida was wonderful to communicate with and answered all questions promptly. You can tell the property has been taken care of beautifully. I wish we could have spent more time relaxing in the house. Our stay was short and we were getting married in Kentucky, traveling from IL so it was very busy. The kids loved staying up late chatting with us on the porch and the comfy couch. It was such a wonderful place to relax and beautifully decorated.

Beware
This property had a sign in the bathroom saying the pipes were old and you might have to plunge or turn off the water at the base of the toilet. We did have to do that because we flushed a piece of toilet paper. The bed post in one of the bedrooms almost fell on my son because it was broken. My son was walking down the hall in his socks and a 5 1/2 inch long piece of the hardwood floor went through his foot. The ER doctor had to cut his foot to dig it out and it required 3 stitches. I let the owner know and her response was very rude followed by several other nasty messages to which I did not respond. If you plan to stay here please wear shoes and take clothes that you don’t mind plunging in.

I am very sorry that your son was injured. My house was built in the early 1930’s and the floors are original and very old. There is one rough spot in the hallway that has since been repaired. The plumbing only acts up when there is a large number of guests staying in the house. You are not being honest about one piece of paper stopping up the toilet. And future guests don’t need to bring extra clothes to plunge the toilet. I go above and beyond to provide a safe and clean home for my guests. You were given a full refund for your stay.

Such personality!
We loved this little house. We stayed over Thanksgiving and although we had pre-cooked much of our meal, had plenty of cooking utensils and dishes. So many small touches throughout the home. We took advantage of the hiking trails in Perry County Park, stopped at the Goose Inn for a souvenir and relaxed in the home in the evening. The beds are comfortable. Photos of the interior are spot on. Very clean, very well taken care of. We felt perfectly at home!

Yes, it is a Charmer!
Clean, cute, and cozy with lots of sleeping and sitting spaces. Very nice screened in porch! All around pleasant stay. Be aware that if you want to walk in the neighborhood, that it needs safer sidewalks as people speed through the streets without visibility due to the hills.

The Cutest Most Perfect House
The pictures do not do this house justice!! It is absolutely stunning. Davida has done such a beautiful job of decorating EVERY room of the house, and her personal touches go above and beyond to make you feel welcome! I stayed here with my bridesmaids the two nights before my wedding and it was perfect! There is plenty of getting ready space and ample amount of seating to just relax. I had not planned to take pictures getting ready at the house, but when I saw the Small Town Charmer, I rearranged the wedding day schedule in order to get some pictures! The lighting is absolutely gorgeous!! I highly recommend staying with Davida, she is the perfect hostess!!
