La tua casa lontano da casa!

Questa accogliente piccola casa di 2 piani risale al 1853 circa ed è dove vivevano i minatori di carbone. Abbiamo creato un ambiente molto confortevole, riservato, accogliente e sicuro per i nostri ospiti. Tutto quello che devi portare è il tuo entusiasmo per una fantastica vacanza. Rilassati sul ponte con un drink e i tuoi cari e guarda la città attraverso lo splendido scenario. L'estate scorsa abbiamo aggiunto un bellissimo nuovo patio con un pozzo del fuoco a gas sul lato della casa! Anche con vista sul centro cittadino, porta fuori i tuoi drink e goditi.
Marzo e aprile abbiamo tariffe scontate, quindi non offriremo una colazione continentale. Si prega di fornire il proprio cibo. Grazie

La Van Pelt House si trova proprio nel cuore della città ma isolata e privata. A pochi passi da negozi, mountain bike, escursioni, rafting, ristoranti e divertimenti. Questo è il luogo perfetto per un weekend romantico o una vacanza in famiglia.


Entrate in casa e sarete nel soggiorno con una Smart TV a schermo piatto, un camino elettrico, un condizionatore d'aria e un nuovissimo divano letto in pelle Queen con un materasso morbido. Continua e hai una cucina completamente rinnovata di recente con il ponte attaccato sul retro. Se scegli di uscire per mangiare, i ristoranti sono tutti a pochi passi da casa. Non c'è bisogno di guidare ovunque. Al piano superiore si trova la camera da letto principale con materasso Queen molto confortevole, ventilatore a soffitto e aria condizionata, un salotto con un nuovo futon e un bagno completo con vasca con piedini ad artiglio. Abbiamo anche aggiunto WiFi.

La Van Pelt House è disponibile per il fine settimana, la settimana, il mese o per soggiorni prolungati.

We love coming to Jim Thorpe and going to the lake - great location for what we wanted, Helen is very nice and communicative, the house is clean and exactly as pictured. Fire pit is really nice. Loved it!

We enjoyed the proximity to town and the quaintness of the property! Parking was a touch tight and district to find upon arrival. A full size SUV wouldn’t have fit in the designated space - just something to consider.

I had communicated to the property owner many months ago when I first put a deposit down – that I was going to be staying there with an adult otter who’s disabled. The rental was nothing that I expected. There’s no way I could’ve gotten her into and out of the clawfoot tub. The heat never went to the second floor. The fire pit there was supposed to be outside was a complete joke. The TV would not work for us. Took some time for the owner to reply to text/call. Owner was put off that I had nothing to write with to write down a new password. When I asked her to text it to me The information that she sent me was incorrect. I texted her again about it with no reply. The place to park took forever for me to get into an out of with my SUV. Would never ever ever recommend that place to anyone! And it’s really quite sad – – because Jim Thorpe itself is a great town.

We had a great stay at the guest house. It’s a lovely home with great accommodations located in Jim Thorpe. The house had everything we needed and Helen was a great host and easy to communicate with. There is a great outdoor patio with a gas fire pit which we enjoyed using. It’s an easy walk in to Jim Thorpe to restaurants and shops. We will definitely go back again!

My daughter and i love jim thorpe for the shopping and noshing(eating). This rental was perfect! Clean, quiet, came with parking and we walked everywhere all weekend! Helen was attentive and easy going, loved her property and her! Until next time!

Location was perfect - walking distance to restaurants and shops, but on a quiet street. House was clean but furniture, especially couch, a bit tired. That said, great home base for exploring the lovely town of Jim Thorpe!

We have been to Jim Thorpe quite a few times but this was the first time that we stayed in town and very glad we did. The house was clean and everything we needed was there. We also liked the fire pit area. We sat there in the morning and in the evening. It was private, quiet and very peaceful. We didn’t get a chance to light the fire pit. As in the past, all the places that we that we went to were great. We love these little bars and restaurants, and we could walk everywhere from the house. Walking up High Street from Race Street was pretty for me tough, the stairs to Broadway were closed when while we were there. I heard that they’ve been re-opened. Whenever we return we would like to stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay in Jim Thorpe, it was however very hot. The heat did impact our trip, as walking UP the hills in 95 degree weather isn’t fun. We enjoyed the local restaurants and saw a great show at the Opera house. The only negative is the bedroom AC unit, the compressor kicks on and off all night long making for a disrupted sleep. It did cool off the room but as light sleepers it was tough. I would rate our stay a 4 out of 5, due to the AC unit.

We had an awesome stay in Jim Thorpe. My work schedule prevented us from being there for our full duration and Helen was incredibly accommodating and communicative, even allowing us to extend on our final day. Great location, super cozy abode and friendly neighbors. Everything was as listed. Will definitely be back!

Had a great time in Jim Thorpe. First time here. Lots of shops and entertainment. Even had a few late night spots open for food and drinks. Everything we ate was good. Our stay was clean and accommodating. Helen had great communication all throughout the stay. The location was walking distance to town which made it enjoyable. I would definitely recommend and i would return.

Prepare to feel welcomed into this lovely property - an historic property, reminiscent of a family home of long ago. Location is perfect for both being in the center of town while being able to pull away for quiet moments together. Every detail was attended to - clean towels, sheets, dishes, spices, even coffee and the fixings. In addition, there is a great deck out back for enjoying a quiet coffee in the morning. Evenings will find you relaxing with a glass of wine at the side of the house around the fire pit. We enjoyed every bit of it - and appreciate all the attention to welcoming details that the hosts provided. Will definitely be returning again and recommending to others! Thanks you! The town of Jim Thorpe is always a treat - and your home was the icing on the cake!

The Van Pelt House is a #10. The home is beautiful, clean, charming and historical. We loved staying there and will definitely be back. The home sits above the Mauch Chunck Opera House with stunning views of Jim Thorpe. It is easily accessible to the downtown with so many restaurants, shops and activities in town. You cant go wrong with making Jim Thorpe a must do weekend getaway destination.

This property definitely gives you a historical feel! We were loving how close the house was to downtown Jim Thorpe but how it was out of the way of the hustle and bustle. We walked the whole down each day and didn’t have to worry about driving anywhere. Although it was small inside the house, there were two outside areas that we also enjoyed. This house was a great find!
