  • A simple remote Alaska rustic one room dry (no plumbing ) secluded 16X16 cabin with a sleeping loft on Dalton Ridge Road at mile post 254 1/2 Parks HWY. (Alaska Route 3)
    Just 5 miles north of the Town Healy and 15 miles from Denali Park.
    A get away for two surrounded by foothills and Alaska Mountain Range.
    Up on a ridge over looking the landscape. Perfect opportunity to watch for Alaska wildlife.
    A 15-20 minute hike to the lake for a viewing of Denali Mountain.
    Four wheel drive or AWD required for driving in LOW GEAR to cabin #2
    or parking below with a 15-20 minutes hike up the steep grated ridge road to cabin.
    A ride to the cabin for checking in and out is available from the lower parking area with time of arrival and departure notice.
    Cabin provides a small refrigerator/ freezer, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, table for two, upstairs sleeping loft beds (two twin/single beds with sheets, blanket and pillow.
    Cabin heated with small electric or oil heater with electric lights and outlets,
    A wash and gray water sink with 5 gals.water jug over the sink for washing. (Bring drinking or bottle water)
    Outhouse toilet is 50 feet away from cabin.
    NO indoor plumbing. No Shower
    Laundry and showers is available in the town of Healy.
    Pets are welcome with a pet fee, but CANNOT be left unattended in the cabin or on the property.
    Bring your food and eating utensils, etc...
    Town of Healy is 5 miles away with Dinning , a groceries & supplies store, gas stations, shower and laundry facility.

    Check-out 11am

The view from the lift bed was amazing, watched the mountains glow at sunset and sunrise, it never really got dark and we did enjoy the dim light.

Dave was an awesome host! He **came** to pick us up from our meeting spot and **graciously** drove us to our **adorable** cabin, even at a late hour! The cabin was cozy, clean, and very comfortable. The outhouse was perfect for our stay and **outdoorsy** **experience**. We highly **recommend** this cabin and would love to stay here again. Thanks Dave **for** a great time!

The price-to-value ratio compared to competitor's in the area is unbeatable. Rustic property, but clean and perfect for a real Alaska experience, and great location in a beautiful area.

Nice place to stay. Host was great and helpful. Thr drive up the hill can be intimidating, especially when poor weather and rain. However, it is easier than it looks. It has a great view and is comfortable.

This property delivered exactly what it advertised. It was a remote cabin, away from everything. It was very clean and comfortable. I’m not sure the four-wheel-drive was necessary for our visit, but I could see how it could be troublesome in some situations.

The owner of the cabin was very patient. Because our car wasn't four-wheel drive, it was difficult to go up that steep slope, so we needed his help to pick us up and drop us off. He did his best to help us.

Great cabin. The fact that a regular car can't drive up to the cabin was a bit inconvenient but the host drove us up without issue. Otherwise cabin was great.

This was a great, quiet, secluded cabin. We definitely needed time away from it all. The road certainly needs 4-wheel drive vehicle. Yet, the views and seclusion is well worth the price and then some. The beds were comfortable and the heater kept us toasty.

I needed to spend the night near Denali for a tracking workshop the next day and did not want to mess with the glitter Gulch phenomenon. This cabin was perfect for keeping me in the right mood. I have a Subaru ascent and it made it up the hill after plenty of rain without an issue. It was pretty rainy so I didn’t get to see the view, but love the sound of the rain!

Here’s a polished version of your review:---The cabin was nestled deep in the woods, yet it was impeccably clean and equipped with all the amenities as described. The beds were warm and comfortable, making for a cozy stay. While the data connection wasn’t perfect, it handled video and phone calls well enough. A grocery store just a short distance away offered a great selection of fresh vegetables. The cabin was also conveniently located—just a 30-minute drive to the Denali Bus Depot. Given everything it offered, it was well worth the price we paid. We couldn’t have made a better choice!

Our host, Dave, was exceedingly accommodating, Our AWD rental wasn't up to the task of getting us to our cabin. Dave promptly came down the gravel road and escorted us to an authentic log cabin that included a refrigerator, sink, microwave, lighting and outlets. The beds in the loft were comfortable and the temperature inside the cabin could be adjusted. Dave took us back down the road at our requested time and we were off to Denali National Park. This cabin truly is a pleasure to stay in (even though it did have outside commodes...which were clean and acceptable). Shout out to Dave for having us as our guest at his cabin.

Dave was a wonderful host! Our car got stuck before even the 2 wheel drive parking space because the car was too low. Dave helped us find a spot and drove us and our luggage to/from the cabin for check in and check out. Dave also thoughtfully provided lots of little things that make it easier to stay in a dry cabin if you never have before. Things like nice toilet paper, dish soap, a coffee maker.The views were incredible!

An night in Healy

We really enjoyed our stay. the view was beautiful and Dave was a gracious and kind host. I would recommend the cabin to anyone who wants to enjoy the Alaska experience. Dave also recommended a hike which I took and enjoyed.

I was so sad to leave the cabin. It was truly remote surrounded by trees and so peaceful. I walked the trail to the lake and was blown away by how beautiful it was. I would stay again without a doubt.
