“Lava Guesthouse is well-located in the centre of Westman Island and has basically all the amenities required. There are enough bathrooms for all the guests and those are clean and well stocked. The beds were comfortable and sheets clean. The blackout blind in the bedroom was not super effective however. The kitchen is quite good. Modern, clean and stocked with basics. Especially good was the dishwasher, and also some hot chocolate powder we found which hit the spot on a cold afternoon.”

“Stayed one night in a double room here and In a remote location on a farm and surrounded by beautiful scenery. It’s minutes away from plane wreck and Seljalandfoss which made for a healthy hike on a summer evening. Everything is self explanatory/ service and more of a hostel feel than guesthouse or hotel which we didn’t mind at all. They say there is no breakfast but they have an excellent coffee machine and cereals for you to start your day. Only complaint was the smell in our tiny bathroom but...
